  1. Can we have a todays version of Shack please? Scores Gritty/agitator/fights(in todays realm of the NHL standard) Entertaining
  2. I've gone to one to three games a year for the last 9 years. First time I have been at a game for a win was this year. A positive for me.
  3. Buffalo 5-3 win. The hot sabres then cold Sabres thing they have going on in 2019 is leading me to believe tonight is their hot night.
  4. Every Irishmen I know walks around kissing all the girls goodbye then leaves. You do that at hockey games? I like your style.
  5. I'm betting Hunwick finishes out the year in his spot.
  6. Medium rare and ready to be eaten.
  7. *out of the line up and into the game 5 winner circle!* Your memory is not bad. Compared to mine quite extraordinary. pssstt.. It's at the end of Doo's video he posted. I watched and listened. It's just over a minute long, about my attention span. It's not like I researched it and went all fancy stat on you or anything.?
  8. He has tried to do this. Successfully with Skinner. Not successfully with Berglund/SOB and Thompson (to date with TT, he's young). In JBott's defense he has taken in new blood to try and get this team going. Not always successful, but he has taken chances. I think he's a nice mix of Darcy and Murray. Willing to take chances and move players, but not betting all the future picks on a couple of FA signings.
  9. True. I don't disagree with that at all. I will take Jack, Sam, Middlestadt/E-Rod as our 1-2-3. But then we need 2 good to really good forwards.
  10. From watching this season I'm going to run with my gut and say Thompson has a two fold problem. He needs a year in Rochester and would have benefited greatly from it. If that was not a possibility. He needs a good center and another good forward and placed on the 3rd line. He got neither and has bad stats. Not overly to surprising.
  11. No matter what way you slice this loaf we are in need of a 2C.
  12. From an Irishmen that loves Polish Food.
  13. Only if we still had Big John. But I'm so glad both those days are long gone.
  14. May the Leafs leave Jack open in the center of a prime goal scoring area then have the defense move out of the way so he has an open look at the net on every power play.
  15. I agree with you it's fading away. I disagree as to who has more control over it and why. I believe it's the players and coach's more than fans and owners. They have the most to lose and it doesn't win games or make the player/coach more money.
  16. My take is slightly different. The crowd is richer now because tickets prices dictate that only those better off can afford to go. They still want the same as all fans want, to see winning entertaining hockey. In order to win you need four good lines. That is darn near impossible to do if you have even just 1 or two guys that are goons. If you want to win there are no goons which means there is a dramatic down turn in fighting. If the Sabres won the Stanley cup and had the most fights of any team that year I'm willing to bet there would be a waiting list for season tickets that this team has never seen before. My point is just simply, people are not going to stay away because there is fighting. They will if they lose.
  17. Hunwick gave Ovi a break away. I think we can still do better.
  18. Or take out Ovi. Their best player. Tit for tat. Old time goon hockey. ?
  19. Replay showed ankle going the wrong way and him clutching it as soon as he hit the ice. He's done for a while. Intensional.. I think yes. To injury.. I think no.
  20. That looked bad for Skinner from the tv replays.
  21. For those about watch hockey live...… We Saluuuute YYOOUUU!
  22. So you're serious? I thought it was sarcasm or a joke. I'd love to see it happen. Edit.. Never mind, I continued to read on. I'm gullible for anything positive.?
  23. It's all in who you believe, but.... Before the trade deadline your biggest worry should be will he be traded as a rental. That means both sides talked and they were not close on a deal. If they keep him post trade deadline then there is a very good chance that a deal will be made. Since we have not heard any rumors of JS being shopped before the trade deadline, I'm running with a post trade deadline signing with the max 8 year contract that only the Sabres can offer him.
  24. Who said this? I have never heard it put this way before and feel it to be spot on.
