  1. Watched ESPN's post game show after the Sabers/Oilers game and one of them got a text from Jack that he felt really good and was out for a walk.
  2. Not sure where Woody is but if he is in somewhere like Aruba, the nights are very chilly. Many parts of Mexico are the same.
  3. I expect him to play tough against McDavid and outscore him.
  4. It gets cold at night and the bikinis come off. It's the same way in Buffalo.
  5. He's always had a halo to some..... He's been a pain in the neck to others.... The biggest problem I have with him is he will continue to come up in posts longer than the ROR trade has.
  6. There was a miss-understanding on my part. I thought you where advocating for signing players because the trade was for peanuts. I completely agree.
  7. If we trade Anderson for a 4th round pick while he is still playing well at some point this year are we tanking or are we managing the roster( we are not in the playoff hunt and we are not resigning Anderson)? It's a fine line to walk,
  8. If you do it and do it right and you win multiple cups many will say yes, it was completely worth it. The Sabres did it completely wrong. The tank was the worst thing they could ever do at that point in their history given management, ownership and their pool of prospects. Tanking and it's varies levels of tanking is part of the sport.
  9. Pittsburg absolutely did what buffalo did, right down to trading goalies that where playing well. It's where the whole *tanking* mentality was born.
  10. Buffalo didn't want to retain salary, may have been petty about ... Or... Buffalo knew how bad the cap situation was in Vegas and was asking for the moon to do it. Jack was only doing the ADR and requested a trade long before the injury and said he would play for Buffalo post surgery so they could get their value in a trade for him.
  11. I'm assuming when he said *every team*, he meant all of the affiliates also. That is a lot of players to analyze.
  12. “As I bent over to look for my glasses, a crowd of Johnstown players surrounded me. Fearing for my life, I grabbed a stick and started backing up, until I reached the fourth stair leading to the press box,” wrote Billoni in the Tonawanda paper the day after the incident. Billoni, who would later become the general manager of the Buffalo Bisons, refused calls from Carlson to “come down and fight.” In his book, Dave Hanson says he left the building that night in a police car “before he could nail” Neeld. Billoni wrote that day that Hanson was taken away in cuffs because he speared Neeld in the stomach. Two days later, Neeld was back in the lineup for Buffalo for the decisive Game 5, but Hanson wrote that pay back during the game might be difficult. After losing an eye during an incident earlier in his hockey career, Neeld always wore a helmet and face shield that blocked punches during a fight. It's a great story, riddled with truth from both sides...
  13. I read that article. Thank you for shearing. Loved to have seen it in person. Even more so, I'd buy all the players involved many beers to just sit and listen to the stories from that era.
  14. It's almost as chemistry is as needed as skill for a defensive pairing to work well together. May the coaches work their magic with Dahlin.
  15. Still to soon. A 5-1 win over Tampa certainly doesn't kick the *to good can* to the curb.
  16. Thought that Dahlin really had some nice shifts late in the second. When he starts to *feel it* he really can shift the ice.
  17. I'd give him Risto's contract if he plays this way most of the season. He starting the season playing the way we (LIGER) always hoped he would.
  18. The eye test agrees.
  19. Expect a nice change from Granato going into the second slowing Tampa's offensive zone entry.
  20. Heard his name called twice. When he laid a nasty hit on the boards right behind Anderson. When he cleared the puck on the 4 on 3. If your a defenseman playing Tampa and that's it.... then your playing very well.
  21. I like my whiskey and I'm not shy about saying I don't like to share it.
  22. I'm soooooo going to have to get that movie!!
  23. What???? Tanking is purposely losing to get better draft picks. I just watched 3 games where they purposely tried to lose but couldn't even get that right.... the bums!
  24. Analytics will drive the list of players to be looked at and player mentality will get them an offer.
  25. He may be wearing the *A* but we all know he is the *C* of this years team, and very well could have been thought of as that by the players in years past.
