  1. That's cause I sent our snow from here to you. Yep, yesterday I walked out and told the snow to get the hell out of here, and go hang with NS. Glad I could be of such assistance to my Brothers and Sisters from the Great White North
  2. I'm not sure why the thread was shut down exactly, but I am assuming that the originator of the thread is doing his best to not upset the apple cart, and the thread was starting to head down a slippery, pot hole laden path, and before an apple was lost...poof the cart was gone. Then again I still don't know why a show about nothing lasted for so long, so I don't know much about nothing.
  3. There are those days when I wonder "what the hell is my boss thinking" , but those days only end in "y".
  4. PA, first let me say good for you to be able to do that. Dealing with those with a terminal illness and to remain upbeat and positive is a rare trait. Second, and please if you do not wish to answer please do not. My interest is in how you came to drive a Vet to Roswell. Do you work/volunteer for a local VA, or are you employed elsewhere? We have a nice VA hospital here with shuttles and wondered how that worked, if you knew?
  5. Yah, but what would grand-PA say? You know, the old guy with the wine stain...
  6. University educated as a mechanical engineer. Life of hard knocks graduate as a small business owner for over 25 years.
  7. I was signing up for the summer class if you where teaching your first profession :w00t:
  8. You sure you have the right end of the horse?
  9. Be Nice! I remember the seventies and I don't remember a big drinking vessel wandering around Buffalo with a bunch of guys from a local hockey team with their names engraved in it claiming they won something. But if in the next few years that drinking vessel all of a sudden has a bunch Sabres names on it, expectations will be met, and that will be the best team ever. The only way we get to drink from the Cup of Lord Stanely is to ice a team better than the one from the seventies. As I am a fan, those are my expectations also, to be better than we've ever been. I remember some very good times, but the future holds expectations that I have never thought possible since I was a very young man.
  10. There was a thread started about nothing and it went off topic, so it had to be shut down.
  11. So you're saying you sit around and taste test booze all day long? Make sure it hasn't gone bad?
  12. Why, if you old guys think you could shame me into feeling bad for picking on my elders you would be right! But you're not that much older, so I can pick on you, and not feel bad. :nana: Besides you forgot the cardinal rule, if old age is to be discussed you have to include grand-PA.
  13. Yah! Bunny Pics! That bunny looks like it just smoked a little whacky tabaccee, and is needing a chocolate covered carrot. I'd still take a hug from JJ in that bunny out fit
  14. You actually where the first person to come to mind, but I didn't want to ask directly for you just in case it was a senior moment day. I didn't want you on the spot when you couldn't find your glasses or computer or house or what ever else seniors lose within 2 minutes and 10 feet of having it last. :P This may have been spun as a feel good situation, but I don't remember it being this "nice". I would like to see the current ownership handle a similar situation without a kick to the curb feel to it.
  15. Thought Ray had little say? Need and old guy with a good memory.
  16. My info came from a SI article that made it sound like August. They were quoting the likes of Goldman-Sachs on future value of the Canadian Dollar for July and August and how if it continues on it's current trend that the latest estimates of 69-70 million salary cap may be revised down again from the last Governors meeting in January. An interesting turn, and could be a very fortunate stroke of luck, for teams with a lot of cap room and an owner with deep pockets and a savvy GM, no?
  17. I just want him offered something, if he finds a better deal elsewhere good for him. I just don't want to see him in Ottawa like Rob Ray because he didn't even get a last year, good faith, contract offer. Hockey heaven has to take care of the likes of the Pat Kaleta's. "You'll take this contract, I know it's not much but you'll retire in 2016 with grace and honor. We get you working with the worst PR department in hockey doing some radio talk shows, a few commercials, would you like to coach? We take care of our own here in Hockey Heaven, besides you seem like a bright young man that couldn't royally screw up a ceremony for one of the worlds best goalies, think it over Patty we could always use a good person..."
  18. It's good now, Miller is showing more compete.
  19. I would offer Pat an Ellis type contract. Personally, if the injury bug strikes it would be good to see Pat come up from Rochester, and not Matt. Not that I hate Matt, but Matt is just a reminder of everything bad about the last two seasons.
  20. Yah, it was so bad that bunnies where called in to calm the masses! But it's all good now cause an Eichel-corn rode in to save us! We've even set up a memorial thread so the fallen can be remembered, some are still marauding around with their tracks a clanking, but there is no longer a shell in their canon. The only one I truly feel sorry for is Vodka, he seems to have aged quite a bit and his color seems a little off now...
  21. If I'm GMTM I'm sitting tight. There are a half dozen teams with their salary capped near the ceiling and with the Canadian dollar weakening against the American the salary cap is predicted to go down around $1.5 million. There will be shedding of good players for very little in return other than the need to dump salary. The Sabres are poised to pick up some slightly over priced vets for bags of pucks to teach the youngins. This year GMTM won't be shopping for Mess, Balls, and what's his face that got traded to Montreal with Flynn. This summer could be one of the best to be a Sabres fan in a long, long time.
  22. I know, but the bunny pics where funny and I figured that there was no way you were ready to drop the nuclear bunny pic photo bomb on JJ Best offer I had all day!
  23. I could use a hug, and some more bunny pics, for those offering
  24. We did plenty of drugs before Jack, but if Jack is an excuse to do more, Go Jack!
