  1. You had me till the trucker hat, I'm picturing that drunk asz getting hand cuffed with a trucker hat on.
  2. Most memorable pierogi from Polish Grandmother... You got one each of blue berry and strawberry, they where of coarse cooked in butter, and while cooking she put some sugar on them and let caramelize, then put on plate hot with a side of vanilla ice cream. We ate them as desert on special occasions in the winter. Yes, 90% FUGALE water baby!
  3. How I read that now that I know the meaning.
  4. A strainer and the sink works well for rinsing almost any vegetable. We wash it all, never know where some ones fingers where that handled the fruit/veggie before you brought it home.
  5. That sounds a little sketchy, sounds like the opening scene to a *B* horror movie more than a good place to pass lunch.
  6. I still agree that one under 20 center is enough to start the season. What a glorious and wonderful thing having 2 top 2 picks at center and debating how they should be used. It's good to be a Sabres fan again.
  7. Notable exceptions: Gorges, Moulson, & Desaulariers That is interesting. My take, the Sabres PR department is less than stellar and they just forgot to include them. or We are trading them and our number 2 overall pick to Edmonton for their 1st overall.
  8. Speaking of, didn't Drew (post trade) do very good for himself in any up coming contract talks?
  9. There's no better movement the one on the home throne!
  10. Oh so close, but I think you miss the mark, or pile in this case.
  11. But the weekend will be perfect for out door day drinking!
  12. I believe it wont be nice when you leave. I'm sending the next round of cold rain your way. Just so you can enjoy it as much as I am, because I'm just so nice that way.
  13. The customer is always right.
  14. I'll agree that education is the key. But if we want a true education system that will work, unions and politicians cannot be the main force behind the system. America has proven for generations that throwing money at our education systems has shown us only slipping down the ranks of industrialized nations education standards. I applaud your wife, but I will bet her biggest beef is the political nature on how funds are used in the school system. I also do not want large corporations running schools much like the penitentiaries. I'm not sure what I want, but I know the current way is broken. I think they are number one, when combined. Each individual union is not in the top 25.
  15. No, that the believe that only "one side" has entities that are detrimental to the American middle class is short sited. I also believe teachers unions are the largest and most politically active of any SUPERPAC's in the world.
  16. You've been divided and conquered. Each party has their cooperate winners and spin doctors, George Soros for you then?
  17. I love your optimism and hope. I wish I shared it. But parenting would have ended this cycle and given hope to your believe also. And that is not found as it once was either, because it has not been fostered at any level. From the streets to the highest of political offices, becoming a good parent is not rewarded by our current government programs.
  18. Yes actually they do, but only as it will make sure you vote for them consistently. Vote for me I will give you "x", has worked wonders. The only class that seems to be left behind the last generation is the middle class. Who see's a champion of the middle class? With the current political climate is the middle class better off? We have been divided and conquered by our duly elected.
  19. Without hopefully putting words in your mouth, you may be directing this at religious types. I agree with you. And I am a "religious type". Free birth control should be given to anyone under the age of 30(?), and free exams.
  20. If the second or third generation has no motivation to get a high school diploma, but can receive money for creating another generation, that is generational involvement and abuse. Please tell me that it's at a very low percentage of second plus generation receiving "help" and then I would believe there is little abuse. I am a small business owner, large cooperate welfare is a very sore subject. I will not disagree with you. Make small business viable again in America. Simplify the tax code so a reasonable intelligent college educated person can file their own business taxes. The game is rigged in favor of monopolies that pay off organized crime (our government), to get large favors.
  21. I agree 100% Pay not to have children, but to use birth control. I believe some call this a living wage, guaranteed to everyone, but with stipulations that will help end generational abuse. Mainly by not promoting the creation of the next generation to become participants.
  22. If a person signs up and is able to get on the access program, they also qualify for housing and a transportation supplement. The housing is paid direct to the landlord, it's called section 8 housing here. The houses are visited by social services to insure they meet set standards. There is also a program that if an access participant is able to get accepted into a business or trade school beyond high school, their money on a monthly basis increases in order entice them to get an education. I don't know, because the statistics won't tell us the percentage that are generational. I can guess, but wouldn't you like to know? Then you can form your own opinions of is this helping, or if the next generation is abusing?
  23. 2 totally different programs, each mutually exclusive of each other. One can be SNAP participant but not qualify for the access card. SNAP here in PA is used by the working poor, and is toted as the most successful program with the least amount of abuse. One can buy all those things with the access card including the daily paper, but not with SNAP. 2 different programs.
  24. The same can be said of all religions and defense spending. It's ones believe, that the world would be better, or worse. How many are on the second or plus generation? At let me broaden this a bit, it's also rural poor states such as West Virginia and Kentucky are faced with the growing numbers of generation recipients, I am implying its only in cities.
  25. Here it's an access card. If you want I can take you down town and you can buy them, usually 10-20 cents on the dollar. Work the same as a pre-paid visa card, the only thing they wont buy is illegal drugs. This from a friend who I worked with for 20 years, it's unbelievable till you experience it first hand.
