That could be role #2 for Geertsen, get the puck and plow into the goalie making sure everything ends up in the net. If anyone challenges him then he can exercise role #1.

Getting dinged with extra penalties is common with any bigger kid in minor hockey. If it was in his DNA he could easily regain some edge. He frustrates me so much with his lack of engagement with opponents. I repeat once again that he is built like Pronger, plays like Bryson, but I just want him to get 10% more physical. Baby steps, make the effort and gain some room and respect.

Factor in the palm trees and tax rates to attract new guys. He’s already here and wants to be here. I agree that he will not be a great player in 5+ years but they should keep him because their two best players are locked in at lower rates for a long time. The over payment can be absorbed. Heck, Tuch might even transform his game to become a bottom six PK and defensively responsible checker in his mid thirties just to remain a contributing Sabre.

There doesn’t seem to be a hometown discount with this one. The no 🌴 effect was in full force, Guerin had to pay up. He is younger than Tuch but is he twice as good?

I doubt it happens, he makes above league minimum too, although many teams have the space. Baby steps, KA caves in and waives him first. I would love him to get claimed, be done with him until his return tribute video that KA personally produces.

I would love to have Johnson beat him out. Lindy might push to have this happen even though KA would balk at having his prize #7 Dman waived.

The other reason to rip that A off was when TNT is laying on the ice after a cheap shot and this big Mule looks around with a dumbfounded look on his face instead of grabbing someone and asking for answers. More donkey than Mule.

The history of injuries probably makes even more tame, scared of getting hurt again.

Well put, they watch things happen instead of making things happen. Power has a bit of offensive skill, Mule has the skill and creativity of his pet name.

Decent roster for this one, I hope the Sabres fans get a good game to watch.

With Barkov and Tkachuk on LTIR he has cap space to go after some big fish. I don’t think Tkachuk is all year though.

Perhaps, the people getting the jobs are from minority groups though. He has only been applying for promotions the last few years, they may think he’s too old now. He’s got a good work history but has started making waves since being passed over.
