It is nice to see him come in as another nice piece and not as the saviour. In the past I viewed their high draft picks as the guys that would start the turn around. Unreasonable, but it was the only hopium available.

I hope Hockey Canada names him to their World Championship team. He has been great for them at the World Junior A Challenge and the World Juniors. He was a good soldier going to the Olympics, not playing, but not squawking. I feel they should start him for a couple of games and see how he performs. He could be their guy. The earlier games usually have a skeleton team while they wait for the NHL playoffs to provide more players.

I’d like to see him at C to see if he can handle it. He was a C in junior and AHL. I think he is better than Larsson in the offensive zone. Also Larsson couldn’t play wing.

I’m very happy that he has signed. He has not seemed on top of his game since February so I am lowering my expectations. He is a first overall pick, so the expectations will be higher in October. Good luck Owen and welcome to the team.

This is another board where they have Nazar listed as a C. I am sure he was a RW on most of the stuff I saw earlier this season. He seems to be rising up boards and some consider him to have the highest offensive ceiling.

His friends and family can be at any home games they choose to. Young team on the rise, waiting for more prospects to grow with. What’s not to like?

Second game of a back to back vs a top team so my expectations are low. However, these guys have surpassed my expectations since the calendar hit March. Entertain me boys. Let’s go Buffalo! Oh, and sign Power/ Portillo/Johnson so the broadcast has commentary and or interviews. Thanks KA.
