Sabres announce Ryan Johnson signs 2 year ELC (Finally)
French Collection replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
This is an NCAA grad that could have gone UFA, kudos to the organization in getting people to sign and get into the atmosphere ASAP in Rochester/Buffalo. Players and agents will be getting the word around that this organization is on the rise and should be on their radars. -
Canada to the gold medal game. They had a tough time with Latvia. 4-2 final. USA (Tuch) or Germany (JJP) as the opponent. Quinn player of the game.

The depth on D just got a bump with Novikov, Komarov and Johnson signing. Now KA can draft one or two more to keep filling the pool. -
Fantilli scores a beauty to put Canada up 3-2 in the third. This kid fits in, doesn’t look like a draft year player. No where near Power’s dominant play at this tournament two years ago.
-
Quinn line and Krebs line have been Canada’s best two lines this game.
-
Quinn banks it off of the goalie’s mask. Krebs has been improving as this tournament has gone on.
-
Krebs and Quinn together on a 4-4 shift. They are both playing well. Latvia up 1-0 midway through the game.
-
1 assist for Komarov in the first game of the Memorial Cup. Quebec beat Kamloops 8-3.
-
Good way, they didn’t really know him and his skill. Toffoli, Weegar and Crause I think we’re the players. They all play out west.
-
A couple of interesting comments by Gord Miller of TSN. Peyton Krebs has the 2nd best faceoff percentage in the tournament. He asked 3 Team Canada members who was the biggest surprise and they all said Quinn.

Canada Latvia at 7:20 AM USA Germany at 11:20 AM

Finland plays that way except they have more skill.
-
Good point. I am enjoying watching him compete. He is still not strong but he uses his IQ and uses his body at the right times. I know I am bashing the Leafs again but Marner and Nylander are similar to Reinhart but did not engage physically at all in any playoff year.

Thanks for the tips folks. I am in Canada so I’m not sure Hulu is an option. I will look into it. -
Playoff hockey is different for sure, way more intense and physical. Don’t forget that less than a year ago Colorado won the Cup playing a style closer to the Sabres than the Panthers. The intensity, hounding the puck, hitting, blocking shots was elevated though.

Ok thanks. If we want to get Yellowstone and the spin-offs, can we subscribe to Paramount+ for a month, stream everything we want and then cancel the subscription after that month? Shoresy is available on our cable package but I would have to subscribe to Crave tv to get it. My question is more about getting in and out of these streaming companies. There are only a few shows we are interested in outside of Netflix and Amazon, which we already have. I will be getting Sportsnet Now to get all of the hockey in the fall. I will subscribe to TSN during the World Juniors. -
I can’t remember the source but he brought in Simon Gagne to help and to take over for 23/24. Here is one source: https://coloradohockeynow.com/2023/05/21/in-final-season-patrick-roy-leads-remparts-to-qmjhl-championship-nhl-next/#

We are looking to cut cable and go to streaming only. Is it easy to subscribe for a month and then cancel once you have viewed a certain series/show? -
Tuch vs JJP in one semifinal.
-
Forsling has been good.
-
One more year for sure, I don’t know of many imports that play as 20 year olds. Next year may not be as much fun, Quebec is obviously going for it and had 13 guys 19 years old or more. They will be rebuilding. There is a chance he gets traded like Nadeau was. Patrick Roy is done as Remparts coach as well.
-
Krebs is playing a solid 200’ game, skating really well.
-
Levi is backing up, Montembeault is playing really well.
-
One. Komarov is from Chelyabinsk, he is a Traktor.
-
3-0 Canada early in the third.
