  1. F**k trading a top end pick for a defensemen coming off a down season entering his near age 30 season. Hanifin; makes some sense. Giving up Olofsson and 13 for Pesce is pretty close to insane.
  2. F**k no. He's coming off a down season. You don't give a pick up that high for an average mid tier defensemen.
  3. Simashev or Willander at 13. Best forward available at 39. BPA or Goalie at 44.
  4. Congrats to Linus Ullmark. What a fantastic person and a solid goalie. Wish it would have happened in Buffalo.
  5. I would be pissed if the Sabres even were linked to this piece of human garbage.
  6. It's ridiculous that year in year out he gets bypassed. He is a surefire hall of fame player. His points speak for themselves, as do his all star appearances, Stanley Cup win. How in the blue hell is Mike Vernon a hall of fame goalie?
  7. Interesting. I might consider Savoie in that deal. Possibly. I'd still rather hold onto him.
  8. This is a goalie I'd trade #13 and someone not named Savoie, Kulich or Levi for.
  9. I'd love him back, but he's not a great matchup for the bottom six right now. Especially if KA re-signs Jost. Where do you play him? If he's cheap; sure. I'm just not sure there's a concrete spot with Girgensons and Okposo re-signed.
  10. Gross, I wouldn't move a first for Brett Pesce in 2037, let alone next year. Giving up draft capital for late 20's into their 30's players is useless. I get it if it's for the right under 25 year old right handed shot defensemen. But, meh No thanks.
  11. Is someone saying a 27 year old in the AHL is a worthwhile investment. If he walks into UFA, he's a worse addition than bringing up Subban to play backup. Sheppard was abysmal in his call up for Washington.
  12. I 100% agree with you LGR, I never want to see Bryson again. Just like I'd rather we get rid of Stillman. Though he's perfectly adequate as a 7th. As for Pesce, he's alright, but I feel he'd be the third defensemen I'd want out of Carolina. lol
  13. Sign him now, make him happy and realize that he is a core part of the team for the now and present. Avoid any distraction, make a statement that we're not f***ing around with the heart and soul of our team.
  14. About the most I'd offer is an invitation to camp. He's terrible in his own zone, and his numbers were super inflated. Vancouver is my other team, so I watched a bit of him. He's shot.
  15. I want Simashev. Unless a big boy falls!
  16. It's inevitable unless Florida goes on a herculean run lol. I'm done worrying about the outcome. Ready for the draft.
  17. Trade for the defensemen. This years free agency is a cesspool. They all have warts, and you'll be overextending yourself for something that hasn't been seen in a minimum of 3 seasons. Dumba is an adequate 4th defensemen. He's a decent enough physical player. However, he's injury riddled, his offensive game has dried up, and he's living on previous seasons. He's one of the top guys. I wouldn't touch him with a fork. I would pay some for Gudas, but he has to want to come here.
  18. Markstrom has been in bad form for two years. I wouldn't trade Savoie for him. Also not a huge fan of the Coleman contract, he's worth half of that at most.
  19. I wouldn't touch Gibson for a 5th round pick. The term of contract, the hot and cold streaks, the injury bug that bites him. Easy pass on John Gibson. As is the case with Hellebuyck, he's a great netminder when he's on; but I'm not trading Devon Levi in a package for him, with or without a confirmed extension.
  20. This is a contract that will look bad by year three. Not saying that I've watched a ton of Severson, but he's not someone I'd want no years 4-8 of this contract.
  21. Nope. Pass. I'll keep the development track and trade with other assets.
  22. Montreal and their pundits are so in love with the Levi paradox where he'll be their savior. Sure, you can have Devon Levi, for your top 10 pick, three future firsts, and Nick Suzuki. Otherwise, stop posting your trash. I think they're moving on from Girgensons, and that's upsetting but part of life. Rousek easily can replace him next season.
  23. It's good to add more youth to a situation which is probably again our weakest strength. While we now have the stability at the top end on the defense core, we clearly need upgrades 4-7. Johnson could easily step in, if he shows anything that he could in the AHL next year. He will get a game in the NHL for sure.
