Here's hoping Skinner can win a cup. As well as McDavid/Draisaitl, who are deserving of their chance to hoist the cup. In addititon, it's long time a Canadian market that isn't Toronto wins a cup. I never want to see that happen. Our new Jeff Skinner is Josh Norris. Though he's more injury prone.

Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor
Rasmus_ replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Kolesar and Gavrikov (UFA) are the only two of the other's in the first group of any sort of appeal. Gavrikov is heavily linked to reupping with LAK, which makes some sense and Kolesar is possibly an RFA w/ Vegas this year. -
What is the Next Piece of Good News We Get About This Team?
Rasmus_ replied to Flashsabre's topic in The Aud Club
Exactly what I did this year. Didn't watch a game, or buy a shirt for the first time in nearly 20 years. That being said, I am quite the whining nag on this site, so I guess hypocracy to that too. -
Sabres announce Jarmo Kekalainen Hired as Senior Advisor
Rasmus_ replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I hope not, he's even worse than UPL. I wouldn't touch that repugnant contract w/ a 50 foot pole. I've seen a lot of mock trades for players that would be available, and god could they be any worse. Ideas like Marchessault who is 35 and signed for 5.5 for 4 more years for picks and young players. I like the idea of a Marchessault, but not on that cap term. We're already ***** because of Adams' last ***** move. -
Really fine with Carter Bear or Victor Eklund at 9. Continue to draft gritty, players who show as much grit away from the puck as they do with tenacity w/ the puck.

I will say, a rare shock that they actually hired someone that wasn't an internal b/s regurgitation. While a lot of Jarmo's recent trade targets haven't worked out. He does at least have credibility. I'm shocked that Terry signed off on this. -
Exactly, he got a cup of coffee up in Buffalo. Not everyone even gets that.

Thank you for your work in Rochester, good luck in Europe Lukas.

Puke. -
Because Terry is a blind, criminally neglegable twit who cares about his feelings more than the fact he's ruining a franchise.

I'll take the average draft odds, and just say, we'll be drafting 9 or 11.

Ruff and Adams end-of-season press conference: Saturday, April 19, 4:30pm
Rasmus_ replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Give me all the *****, that work and don't stop. With a motor, and who do whatever they need to on the ice. -
Go Washington, win the cup. Beat Connor, thanks.

Do you believe the Sabres will make the playoffs in 2026?
Rasmus_ replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
As long as Pegula is a sycofantic child who has to have his feelings heard, we're stuck in the mud. Adams has no clue what he's doing and history shows its consistency here. He bought out Skinner and promised to spend to improve the team, we didn't. He promised to sign the young players, all he's done is trade for a broken down #2 center and pay a 34 year old third liner and overpay a barely capable 4th liner in Greenway. This time next year Dahlin will want out. -
Crickets, at this point. No one should trust the vision, the words, or the actions of the leadership of the Sabres organization. From the head down, it's pathetic, inconsistent and there is no desire to fix the problem. It's cover it up with more nonchalant galantry similar to the Ruff appointment. Pegula is a bottom tier owner with the drive of someone how has too many toys and an ego the size of the moon to think anyone should listen to his thoughts on running a franchise. You may be a brilliant business mind; but as a sports owner, you sir, are a joke.

My qualm is still that we gave up a player who was floundering for a player who has never played more than 65 career games in a season. Yes, theoretically if things were reversed and he were to stay healthy, there is a monumental difference in the skill level of Norris v Cozens. However, the facts are the facts, you need to be available to play on the ice to be a proper asset. As of now, this has been another Adams knee jerk reaction trade that has no broader picture. It still makes no sense and doesn't fix the fundamental flaws of this franchise. They color you with semantics, and throw skill without fixing the glue that will cement the cracks of the glaring holes. The lack of heart, effort and desire from players day in, day out. The continued stagnation under countless leaders, to not be able to work with what we have to at least put a competitive product on the ice.

This is true. Just looking for quality to add to the system.

I like Eklund. What are the RHD options around 9? And no injury prone fallers please.
