This just in, no one does.

I agree, I don't understand anyone thinking that Las Vegas makes any sense.

For what? Krebs, and Glass, and two firsts, and Tuch? Paul Hamilton should know what a douchebag. All he has to do is look in the mirror, so it's easy for him to assess that manner of being.

Report Sabres preparing for An Additional Top Ten Pick

#9 and Woo or Rathbone. I would prefer to target Nils Hoglander, but that's probably a non-starter. Sam Reinhart, is my current favorite on the roster, but as with Ristolainen and Eichel, I understand the sentiment of moving in a different direction. He gets to out west, and Benning, has usually made smarter trades than signings, but this could maybe be one where we get a touch more? Not in love with a lot of their other prospects. Karlsson, had a great year in the Allsvenskan, but that's a step down from the SHL. -
What is exactly the interest in Rakell. Comtois, or someone else of that range, makes more sense. I don't all the interest in the mid to late 20's players. This team needs to burrow out of a patchwork mentality with veteran leadership. That ***** didn't work under two different gm's. Draft, and develop, which isn't something this franchise seems capable of needs to start doing. Oh wait, we have Kevyn Adams. It cannot be any worse than Berglund, Sobotka, Tage Thompson, 1st and 2nd. We aren't a few players away from making the playoffs.

I like Carolina, but if a high pick is a must, they might not be the best fit. Jarvis, Drury, Gunler, Bean, are all desirable assets. Throw in middle prospects like Nybeck, Puistola, etc.
-
I don't honestly get the interest in Columbus other than picks. Their prospect pool, might be worse than the Sabres. They have a group of players that are tight nit in the win now genre. If you ask me, they are the least appealing team package wise, to any team other than the Maple Leafs. Their best prospect, isn't someone our ownership group tends to like, in Russians, which is complete *****, but it is what it is. As our owners are the biggest joke of the entire team.

I want it so bad, it's not even funny, all the players that have been here for 6+ years, move him.
-
It's going to be horrible. Honestly, I'm hoping it leads to the Pegulas putting the team up for purchase.
-
I just don't want a college head coach to be the next manager. Boudreau is the experienced coach, that I'm all in on. I'm fine with Granato as well.
-
I would be thrilled with Power / Beniers or Eklund.
-
Tocchet supposedly the preference in Seattle. I have no clue why, he's never really showed much in Arizona and Tampa Bay, but that's fine. I have no interest in a Tocchet run Sabres team.
-
Interesting!

If you can get rid of Skinner's contract, then this is viable. That's the only way a "Seattle" trade makes sense to me, while also procurring the 2nd overall pick. Then you can take two of Beniers, Power, Eklund, Guenther, Edvinsson depending on your preference.

2nd Round pick in 2022 and Jesper Boqvist. It's a buy low on Boqvist and give him minutes. I'd rather see Jesper on the third line, than Eakin.

If you're taking Guenther 1st overall, trade down. Trade down to 3, get a 3rd round pick. It has to be Beniers, Power or Eklund for me at #1. Those are the only options here. Guenther is really solid, and could easily have a Farabee type leap in two seasons or so. But, for me, he's still just on the outside of #1. Am I wrong, maybe. -

I would say, that Sam Reinhart, given his RFA status, should be able to net a 1st round pick in the 6-10 range on his own plus a palatable asset. So for me, that's an easy yes. Depending on the teams need, a team like New Jersey could offer a high second, and a decent B level prospect for Ristolainen. Eichel, for me, is pay up, or we move on. Reinhart to LA for #8 overall, Jarret Anderson Dolan and Samuel Fagemo or Tobias Bjornfot? Ristolainen to NJ for their 2022 2nd, and Miles Wood, or Pavel Zacha? This might be closer to Jesper Boqvist, but I am not sure what Rasmus is truly worth. Colin Miller, for a 3rd in any year. -
If he's looking for money as the biggest factor, and he's willing to talk, then I'd be game. If you're moving on from Ritolainen, Reinhart and Eichel in one offseason you're looking at roughly 21.5 to 25.5 million coming off the books. Hamilton has never slowed down for the majority of his career. If anything he's only gotten better, as he's matured. This is the rare case, where we'll need a calm veteran presence in the room.
-
If you trade down, sure. The same with Eklund, who I think is just as skilled.
-
I still want Beniers over him, I would be okay with Power. This team needs so much it's not even funny.
-
Eichel, leaving is a foregone conclusion at this point. Love the player, done with the drama. I don't blame him for how he feels in the situation, but personally at this point, we need to build something fresh with new players. Players 7-8 years in this toxic situation aren't going to want to be here anymore.

Meh. Doubt it.
