Who needs luck, Connor is on his way to Buffalo as we speak :P. He's driving his beat up pinto to Buffalo from Erie. It might take him a few months to push the thing.
-
Michal Neuvirth, unless there is a trade for someone like Robin Lehner.

The trailer for this movie, was atrocious. Moving on!

Sean Avery. Such a class act!

It doesn't matter what happens in a simulator, the Sabres are winning. #Idontcareanymore #Endtheinsanity

That's exactly the type of player he is. He's not flashy, he's not going to wow you with an insane amount of speed. But, he'll be on the rush, be where he needs to be and do all the things that you do when you're seeing the ice so clear. That's what I see, because he doesn't have an amazing shot, but he finishes on the plays.

Valid points all around. He'd be a big step up from what we've had in that end of things. I just feel O'Reilly fits the team much better and that he has the ability to do things that other skilled forwards cannot.
-
Ryan O'Reilly and to me it's not even close. You can play him on either wing or the center ice position. He was great in the face-off circle, finishes in his own zone and carries the puck well. He scores enough to be paid what he's going to based on the current NHL product.

A 2006 repeat at worst case. I want the feeling of being on the finish line with the chance to make the Stanley Cup finals. That would be at least a good taste in my mouth again. Competing every night against the Montreal's, Tampa Bay's, NY Rangers and other year in year out teams would be a step in the right direction, though.

Thanks for sharing, he looks like the type of guy the team could use! 36 hours from now!

Rage to Nolan's firing, I find that laughable. The man has been fired for the same reason 2 other times including his previous stop in Buffalo. For such a good person as he is, he doesn't seem to adapt or change his philosophy to work with a GM to stay on a certain plan of attack. I will give him credit for sticking to his morals, but pride is also something that keeps you out of the coaching profession in the NHL. "Lack of communication", again sums up all I need to hear. He seems like a great guy and a straight forward work hard work ethic type, and I appreciate that...but I'm hardly shocked, if anything I saw this coming in December.

God no, please for the love of Christ do not tell me that Claude Julien is your pick. The man is a moron. I would rather hire a coach in the Q, WHL or OHL like Jay McKee. His talent has bailed out his atrocious system and made him look like a genius.

Free Agents this summer, who should Sabres pursue and why.

Well Jagr is done already, sort of saw that coming with his point outburst once being paired with Barkov and Huberdeau.- 164 replies

We're good with that initial list IMO. I'm a big fan of Babcock, Tipett, McLellan, in that order. It's going to take a lot for Richardson to win the job as I truly think there will be an established NHL x's and o's coach brought in. We'll see what happens though.

If he was going to be fired, then that's fine fire him right away. It's more expedient to do it for him in the short term than waiting it out. It gives Nolan a chance to observe the market and start interviewing. Regardless if that's at the NHL level or not. He is a good person, and a good veterans coach. This team needs to change the way things are done and it starts with a complete saturation down effect from the front office to the head coach. The lack of communication says it all to me. There should be a clear extension from Murray to Nolan and to the players.

Amazing response! lol That's called saving face, there is some grey area in media responses. Welcome to sports.

I'm honestly not bothered or upset. I saw the writing in the sand a ways back and that's just my opinion. He was a placeholder. Nothing more nothing less. He did some great things and had flaws like every NHL coach. That's about it.

I'm excited to watch some of the playoffs this year. Calgary, Winnipeg, Minnesota. I'm rooting for an under dog all the way. Hopefully Chicago is obliterated! :D Though thank you Jonathan Toews for your 46 second miracle outburst. Obviously I'm stoked for the draft lottery in 6 days, but the playoffs are really interesting and all the match-ups are neat.

Wow, I am absolutely in love with the video of Rantanen. Not that he's going to last after 7, but boy he would be an awesome talent to add similar to Zacha or others. The size, the way he skates is simply amazing. Daniel Sprong was impressive too.

What if Eichel Decides to Return to BU Next Year?
Rasmus_ replied to Dave Dryden's topic in The Aud Club
He'll be in the line-up game 1. As would Connor McDavid. He has nothing left to prove at BU. I know right, I get it. But, there's no way he goes back. It sucks he didn't win the NCAA Championship, but he did everything in a single season you could hope to aspire too. It's a comparable (minus winning) to Carmelo Anthony. Moving on up. -

http://www.trendingbuffalo.com/sports/buffalo-sabres/first-look-sabres-opening-night-line-combinations/ Interesting, though they don't have something with McDavid. Tasteless! Also absolutely in no blue hell do I want that smurf Niemi in net.

LOL, man even the reporters are ready for this to end and to get McDavid.
