  1. Marc Staal, is in the league and Jared Staal has no chance of ever sniffing a game IMO.
  2. It doesn't surprise me that he's very well liked in the locker room. He has a sound work ethic and he always finishes his plays. I miss McNabb, but with how Fasching is being developed at Minnesota and Deslauriers has come up and impressed, this trade was nothing short of a win! He has strong skill to be a solid third liner. Anything else he's a fill in type player. Early on his career if I'm not mistaken wasn't Nick Foligno more of a third liner and he developed at that rate. Not saying it's going to happen, but weirder things have happened.
  3. It was a bit of a snorer, especially after the whirling dervish type goal that snapped in from de Haan in the second. The team just kept chipping away. Great win for the team! That's good! It's such a sigh of relief outside of that hiccup last season in December this team is night and day from last season. The dregs of despair to just peering out into the light at the end of the tunnel. The Shire versus the Gates of Mordor. Leenus I'm not Linus Ullmark is nothing but a breathe of fresh air. Watch out Lehner someone's coming to getcha :P
  4. Awesome that he's exuding that sort of confidence. The team was badly out played in the second before rebounding in the third. Reinhart getting the pass from Legwand of all players to bury home a win will do nothing but wonders for his confidence. It was a tight win, but we didn't have more than 3 wins when trailing last season in 42 match ups. Ristolainen is clearly the "Doughty" of our D-Core.
  5. The sight lines for hockey are less than appealing, it is not meant to house a hockey crowd. It was built for the Nets, tbh and nothing else. It is really a disappointing situation. My girlfriend lives in Nassau County on LI, and I loved the Colosseum.
  6. Schaller is a guy you use in emergency situations sparingly. He's a McCormick type of kid. I don't really think there's much more outside of that. McCabe has improved each and every game since his insertion into the top six under Bylsma. He's entering the rush and making clean passes. He's always had the physical upside that you need to make Mike Weber irrelevant, which is what you ultimately want. All their missing on the back 6 is a bona fide number one defensemen. Ryan Ellis would be a perfect fit from Nashville who has long term contracts on everyone but Seth Jones at this point. He's undersized, but his puck movement and speed are off the charts.
  7. He's Poile's problem. I loved him coming out of Brampton, but man he's just fallen off the cliff. It starts and ends with his desire/compete. Followed up with terrible conditioning.
  8. Well that's what it looks like to me from Roy/Sakic were going for.
  9. For what it's worth Colorado really lost a lot of their depth when Stastny left. Trading O'Reilly is really similar to a classic baseball trade. You have your identified player "Zadorov" and lottery boom or bust type in "Grigorenko" and your stable up the middle talent "Compher" along with a draft pick. A mix bag of stuff to replace the best player involved in the deal. It was a win win move!
  10. Sundowner's Place. Definitely a scintillating choice! Just north of the border.
  11. Jesse Puljujarvi (Fin) would be a pretty stellar consolation prize if you miss out on the top 2. Based on early peeks he looks like a better prospect than Mikko Rantanen.
  12. My roundabout thinking says Tyler Ennis. I just see him shooting his way into three goals. It could easily be Kane when he's back or Eichel/O'Reilly.
  13. I like Chychrun but Matthews just looks special. He could easily push Moulson down and start in the top 6 immediately. I like Chychrun's game though. The Sabres may have better luck being a tweener at the draft lottery than as the worst team in the league. Opposites attract :P
  14. Okay, I now think we can say ###### YEAH! This was the best played hockey game, albeit misses consistently on shots at the net on the PP that this team has played in almost 3 years. I drank so much! God, this team without Kane and Ennis and Bogosian was rocking last night. Ryan O'Reilly, you're worth every dime! Eichel with the stretch/glide into the sweet shot. I felt bad for Neuvy for a moment because he's a really underrated goalie, but man Leenus "Linus" Ullmark, you showed up! Crisp transition work, the pass off the wall from Foligno into ROR to a driving Deslauriers. Traditional top line, hell no! BUFFALO ROCKS! Forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever....NEVER to see the Ice againe! I liked his Koopa mask last season better personally. The only thing that I hated was the Gorges hit on Read from behind in the third period. I was like....really that was pointless. Bad form Gorgeous Josh!
  15. Armia doesn't look he has a chance anytime soon to make the Jets, unless there is a salary crunch. His numbers look very pedestrian in the AHL.
  16. Jack Eichel you're on notice for being 18...and fans not realizing that you're still over extending in certain aspects of your game. Oh there are O'Reilly haters from other franchises. On other sites its pretty evident :D
  17. I'm not saying that Moulson is a bad player. The speed is lacking in his game, which unfortunately is a disservice to his ability when putting him with Eichel or O'Reilly in my opinion. He should be playing with someone consistently. Instead of all this line jumbling. Disco Dan is known for his "dancing his lines". I never noticed that when he coached Pittsburgh, though admittedly I loathe that franchise.
  18. The games are very enjoyable to say the least. Can we make a fantasy trade and add someone with more grit and speed than Moulson?!? One can only hope. We need to get Bogosian back into the line up as soon as possible!
  19. The only things I would switch is to put Zemgus and Larsson in the Like and Carlo in the Hate. Ryan O'Reilly's haters before this season can eat a giant can of ***** fill in whatever word you'd like. He's already the heart and soul of this team. Ristolainen played a heck of a game and for a change I didn't hate Legwand's play. I liked Deslauriers and McGinn has gotten his act together. It was much tighter than I thought it would be. 51 to 29 SOG, is quite a nice stat, though it was in a loss. Kane's injury sucks. I want to see less of Moulson/Gionta and more of the grit and speed. This season has been so much more enjoyable than last year.
  20. Fair enough, lol. That was one hell of a sequence for him for sure!
  21. Johnson with the save of the game after the bad match up with Deslauriers taking a draw. LOL
  22. Johnson is looking very Ryan Milleresque. Eichel looks amazing sometimes, but he looks so young in his own zone.
  23. Ugh Moulson, hooking.....really. Lame. Terrible passing so far tonight.
  24. Eichel with two goals tonight.
