  1. My question is this: if you were GMTM, would you try to move Stafford, Stewart, Myers, etc. right now for a lesser return (but ensure a complete tank) or trade them later when we will get more for them (and risk an incomplete tank)?
  2. Anyone think GMTM frequents this thread to get league updates?
  3. Would never have believed it, but the Toilet Bowls may be playing their way out of the league.
  4. Beautiful. And the Sabres are showing why they are tops in the CHL.
  5. That truly is brilliant stuff there. I can see GMTM just sitting there "it's just a fart. What would make you think otherwise, Teddy?".
  6. Too bad it's already named after Leino, a legend of his trade. Seriously, why'd we get rid of that guy? If Pegs wasn't so busy buying the Bills it never would've happened.
  7. People should be ashamed by the negativity in this thread! We will hoist the Shart trophy over our shoulders and will win the lottery and will draft both McDavid and Eichel. You people make me sad.
  8. It's actually rooting for them and against the same old mediocrity. Hate to use the cliche, but you have to crack a few eggs to make an omelette. Besides, no one's rooting against them, but rather sitting back at watching nature take its course.
  9. You almost wonder if going 1st overall is going to go to McDavid's head and Eichel ends up feeling snubbed and becomes a more impactful player. I'd like to see them going up against men with just as much skill, but either one's going to be special though.
  10. So, someone tell me, what's the point of signing Bailey now as opposed to after the season? We're we in some kind of jeopardy of losing his rights? Or was this just a gesture of goodwill?
  11. Indeed. A very poor effort by them. There's still 20 minutes of hockey for them to get back in it though. The Sabres are showing some sign of life though. For a minute I thought the Urban Blights we're going to take it to them.
  12. They've been shutout 5 times in 12 games. On a pace of 34 shutouts over the span of the whole season. The current record holder are the CBJs with 15 in 1 season.
  13. I understand that getting young players back will accelerate our rebuild, but teams are much less likely to part with them than draft picks. We all would like to think the Sabres have these great players who will net us stuff in return, but if they were so great, why are we on pace to shatter the single season shutout record by a mile?
  14. Sabres with another statement game. One after another...
  15. Great teams have a continuous stream of good players in development at different stages. GMTM isn't looking to shape a great team for the 2015 season, but for the next decade or two. That steady stream of players come from the draft and the more picks you have, the greater the chance of hitting the jackpot (considering the draft is a huge crap shoot). I'm not even adverse to trading Stewart for 2016 or even 2017 picks. I can't honestly say trading him for an actual player is going to net the type of player we need right now or next year. Our system is already packed with 2nd and 3rd liners.
  16. I hope the NHL steps in and somehow screws Carolina. Such a waste it would be if McDavid went there.
  17. If I were Teddy, I'd TiVo this one and later sit down with our team captains tomorrow to review how big games are won.

    Zadorov?

So, has this been resolved yet? Is he staying or going? And to where?
  19. Agreed. Is there a way we could send them Stafford & Ennis for one of their washed up scrubs?
  20. I wish I could get automatic updates pushed directly to my iPhone. A dedicated app would be great, with notifications and a widget.
  21. I'm making Sabres voodoo dolls as I type this.
  22. Maybe this thread should just get pinned now. Regardless where he ends up, he's going to be an ongoing topic of discussion all year long. That, or we get new Samson threads popping up every time he gets a goal.
  23. He has an equal chance of ever making the Ranger's roster as he did with the Hawks. Looks like the decision not to sign with the Hawks was a spite move.
  24. Every day of the week I'll pick delayed gratitude in order to achieve greatness. I don't want a good team, I want an elite team.
  25. I'm not too concerned either. I think we all have bosses in our chosen fields that we respect, but whose professional opinions differ than ours. Still, they're in charge now and we can do things differently when we are the boss. I'm sure TM never had the final say in Otawa, but he is a professional, so I trust him to make the best decisions for our team now.
