    I’m very impressed with Mrs. iT’s willingness to go skating. She claimed she couldn’t skate and was terrible, coming home with swollen knees every time. I figured it was the fault of the figure skates that she had tried. I got her in a pair of hockey skates a size small and she does very well. Hasn’t fallen yet. I finally remembered that I used to lace one eye down and tried that tonight. OMG it felt really good. I could get into my edges much harder and overall had much better control. I’m going to lace two eyes down tomorrow just to see. I’m really glad I decided to get back into it. I love it and Mrs. iT likes it or at the very least, doesn’t mind. Doesn’t get any better than that.

    Amerks win 2-0 in Toronto. With the win, the Amerks take over as points leader in the East. I find it especially pleasing that it was a win over the Marlies that put us there. Ullmark with the shutout and first star of the game.

    I missed all but the OT. I took Mrs. iT skating and when we get back in the truck, boom 3-3. We get home as the period ends and get to see Risto score in the extra period. Very nice.

    Fantastic Christmas! One night of filet yesterday. Today was traditional polish. Tomorrow is the 6 day marinade pork butt. Wednesday is the prime rib. Champagne. Family. Us Bristol Mtn folk got a nice 12” snowfall this evening snowing folks in for the overnight. Just like that GD song. Feck, eh? Awesome Christmas! Merry Christmas you blood thirsty hockey fans!

    I sniffed out that Disney BS right off. When the spoiler ban ends I have a few things I’d like to get off my chest about this whole thing.

    What is the history? I’ve looked around and I see he was terminated by Nashville but I can’t find any answers as to why. Was the team in Montreal when this was announced? Hookers? Blow? For some odd reason I feel I need to know.

    I think spndnchz must be a little Christmas elf reminding us of the Fantasticness of tomorrow being the start of a long Holiday weekend. Two in a row to be truthful....I’ve always loved the Friday and Monday Holidays!

    After my little reintroduction to skating in Boston at thanksgiving I bought myself a pair of skates. Some cheap CCM. Went to open skate at my local rink today. I did ok. 25 years ago I was 50 lbs lighter and it really showed up in my skating. After an hour crossing my feet got better. Stopping my much larger ass took some focus and practice. Most of the 50 lb weight gain is muscle and I’m used to using it balls to the wall style so relearning finesse is really something. I’m going to keep at it though. It was a lot of fun. I may make room in my life for a league next year.

    I noticed something about CJ tonight that I hadn’t before. He can be Marchand-like at times. Not so much the dirty as much as the sneaky. Little picks, pokes etc. He gets away with them. I like it.

    I think it will be good for him. He needs confidence. He was not good tonight. A saw a chance to get a loose puck and break into the zone but he just coasted towards the puck and let the Sen have it, taking a poke at it. He needs to be aggressive but he’s not even close to that.

    Feck yes! Nice win at home. 3-1 over Sens. Ullmark was solid. First star if he game.

    I made two big loaves of banana/walnut bread this morning and am a bit ashamed to admit that I’m half through the first one already. So. Friggin. Good.

    Good post.It sucks to lose but the Marlies ain’t no. 1 for nothing. Pickard was stout and robbed a lot of good Amerk attempts. Outcome of that game was flip of the coin IMO. Glad you had fun. Please come again.
