This my concern as well. I’m no angel but you have to keep it away from the 99% of your life where you shouldn’t be partying.

My long difficult week is finally over so I’m torn between an extended soak in the hot tub or this game tonight. Maybe I’ll watch the first and go from there. Haven’t seen much Amerks hockey this month so I am jonesing for some hockey, but I also haven’t had much rest so I’m jonesing for that too.

This one is really good, not that rest aren’t, they’re all great. This one catches my eye because your drawn into her eyes despite/because(I can’t decide which)of the visor. Very well done with your signature stokes. Without many references to go on? I think your inner eye may have the advantage.JMO

I may have or may not have been coughing when I convinced of my idea. My ego won’t let me say. I may have found a new moniker, though, when I have the time to switch.
-
Uhhmmmm. In my quest to understand why in general, I’ve been focusing on ego. It’s a funny thing to me because I’m sure it evolves as a survival technique. Makes perfect sense when you look at “you kill me” vs “I kill you”, but it seems that an advanced race wouldn’t have the room for ego. It’s fine for the bugs and the critters, the biblical “meek”. We all have ego though. What service does it provide for society? I’ve been super aware of it since my parents died. I find comfort, somehow, realizing that what you see of me is nothing more than the reflection of light off of me. I’m more than what you see, and what I see. Logic then follows that you are more than what I see, and what you see. If I could set aside my ego and you could do the same, would we see even more of who/what we are? I think so.

Two on the socks, two on the sleeves and three in the middle with those colors.

Those sweaters...I’m starting to believe that I like em. The winter classic lighting, meh. Next time I saw them it was first hand, oh hey there. On TV for the first time, yep.

My face looks like it’s been sand blasted. Working on the barren plains of Batavia with the wind whipping me like its bitch. My 19 yo 1st yr partner is trying to figure out wtf is going on all day, so I do everything myself. It’s nine years until I can get full pension but I’m working on a plan to do it in five. I just need to stay alive that long.

Since this bugger has been resurrected and the title suggests a conversation about general NY geography, I’ll share a slice of life from Malone, NY. Dutch Schultz faced his first trial for tax evasion in Malone. He came to town a year before his trial and handed money out like candy, becoming a local hero. Very good, simple people, secluded from the tones of the rest of the country. These folks marched to a different drum. We’ve joked about us “fur traders”, truth is, that’s very close to the truth. A few miles from the Rez, where half of everyone’s family is from, a few miles from the Quebec border, where the other half of everyone’s family is from, and a few miles from the northern edge of the Adirondack Park, where all the real hippies went after the 60’s ended. The one and only southbound highway out of Malone is Rte 30, right straight through the park. I am extremely fortunate to grow up where I did. I got to see and be a lot of different things. If your ever in the mind to take a fantastic road trip, come to the North Country. You can hit Lake Placid, Lake Meacham, DeBar Mtn. In a weekend. Easy. You could take another over night trip to Montreal as well. A beautiful hour drive. This one is a gem. Take Rte 30N to Constable, NY and cross at the Trout River crossing. Super easy and chill. It’s a beautiful drive up 139 through the Quebec side of the river valley. You’ll cross the Mercier(with the tattered Mohawk warrior flags to greet you) into the island. Best trip you’ll ever take. The nicest and friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Real friggin poutine too. Forgot to mention how gorgeous everyone is. Absolutely. Gorgeous. Giggidy.

I’ll bet that fool is kicking himself in the ass. If not, he should be. Maybe he has early onset Alzheimer’s and doesn’t realize what a blasphemous blight he has afflicted on the galaxy. Fallen to the dark side, he has. Suffer through Disney, we must.

Zweigle’s white hots are good. I don’t know wtf Sahlen’s are supposed to be. I grew up on Glazier’s red hots. They’re native to Owl’s Head, NY. When I go North or when someone from up North comes down there’s a few of us transplants who put in an order. It’s easier to order online but we love the complexity. It’s part of the culture. You need to try a Glazier’s before you die, eh? If you do, ask for the Michigan sauce.- 285 replies

I pulled right into a free spot on Broad before Irving at 6:15. Best spot I’ve ever had. That was the biggest/most amped crowd I’ve ever seen. I missed the Calder year because I wasn’t a...WNYer.....yet. My wife helped sell tickets tonight and they were worried they’d run out of seats before the line was done. I had to wait in a line to take a friggin leak!

So I came from no-man’s-land to Syracuse 26 yrs ago. Never fell into the vibe there. I found myself in Canandaigua four years later, onto Conesus Lake for four years, several years in Lima, several more in Avon and five in my new love, Bloomfield. I’m a WNYer, I belong to a Rochester LU...I’m a québécois redneck shifted into a WNYer. It’s been quite the journey. No offense to Syracuse, but that place sucks. IMO Geneva is the point where it shifts.

I’m in... there’s no way I could say no. Cancer has my life up multiple times but I couldn’t even imagine how hard it is when it’s a child. I’m looking forward to seeing the dome, Marty. I’m alopecia so if you’re looking for shiny head tips, I got you!

Cross border “trading” has always been popular with my people.

So when you are north of Rte. 11 are you Northern Upstate? Adirondacker? Can you be an Adirondacker that far North? Those old dudes down on Akwesasne called us the “Malone Mtns”. We were never here nor there. We talk a mix of redneck and québécois. I’ve spent too many hours explaining that I’m American let alone a NYer.

Two of them went one direction and he went the other?

Honey wagon just left my house. About 1:30 this afternoon while doing laundry I thought I heard water in the basement. Oh boy! Water flying out of the S trap where water treatment back wash runs. Either there’s a clog in the 24” of pipe before the lowest clean out cover or the septic is full. The house was built four years ago and they recommend cleaning every three. I get pails ready and attempt to open the clean out. Twenty gallons later it’s empty enough to open...standing water in the last leg before tank. ! Literally. Could have been worse. Could have been twenty gallons of turds alerting me to the problem instead of twenty gallons of washer gray water... I know that math seems wonky but that’s how I’m telling myself it worked out...

? That’s unfortunate.

He rolls his sleeves up and gets in there. He’s not afraid to call them out when they don’t put in the effort. It’s almost as though he knows a thing or two about effort.

The only way I know of to decarb involves heat. I’ve read that dog’s digestive tract can decarb enough for the active ingredient to become psychoactive but I have no idea what’s going on there. Or if it’s really true. Regardless of that, why would you chew on it when you could just eat a delicious cookie instead?

“You can’t afford to lose games, no disrespect to them, against teams like this.” said Lucic. Hey, Milan. F U. Nice cartoon character name. Miss Boston much? How much do they miss you?
