Hate having to watch live. I normally DVR the games and start an hour after so I can fast forward through commercials and intermissions.

The mascot game wasn’t shown. I didn’t even see Sabretooth when they showed the mascots outside earlier. Between live events they showed outside taped events on tv; the golf course hole using pucks and sticks, and the water tank dunk where they had to knock down surfboards. They apparently didn’t show them in the arena. The show on tv was disjointed and much worse than previous years. And the crowd came off as dead. I felt bad for those of you who paid to attend.

You overlook the fact that many of Comrie’s losses were when they were missing at least 2 and sometimes 3 of their top 6 D, including Samuelsson for an extended period. He started the season well when he had a healthy D in front of him, as UPL does now.

You can do all of that by playing both UPL and Comrie. He played well at the start of the season when the defense was healthy.

Looks like Anderson in goal. I thought they would have played Comrie by now. He’s going to be pretty rusty next time he plays.

I don’t understand why Power is reluctant to shoot from the point. He repeatedly hesitates when he has an open shot and then tries to make a pass which sometimes ends up getting intercepted.

The Oilers had even less of a chance. Where there’s a will there’s a way, especially when the selections are made behind closed doors. The NBA found a way to get Patrick Ewing to the Knicks.

The league wanted to punish Buffalo for purposely making roster moves to tank, and Edmonton just had a new arena built and needed to ensure they had an attraction to fill it.

I’ll never get why a recreational hockey player doesn’t wear a full face cage. Some complain it blocks their vision, but it’s not their day job and you learn to adjust. Not worth the potential damage.

I’ll be convinced otherwise about Adams when he makes a trade for a top four defenseman.

Do I think UPL should stay? Yes. But Adams still has the mindset that this is a building year and that they aren’t ready to compete for a playoff spot.

It won’t surprise me if UPL goes back to Rochester. Adams said he needs to play alot, but didn’t say where.

Comrie started well but when the D started getting multiple injuries he wasn’t as good. He deserves another chance with the D healthy.

Pete Weber has also been having a medical issue.
