I come back when I see an article in the Athletic that I’d like to see expanded on more. Seldom do I sign in. If October and November go poorly, I’d imagine I’ll be going the way of GoDD. My two year old loves hockey and the Bills. I’m not sure he knows much of anything about the Sabres. I don’t want to say I care very little about the Sabres, because I know I care immensely about them. But much like the Sabres, my fandom is a shell of its former self and I cannot be bothered to invest emotional, financial or intellectual energy to them.

It’s going to be obvious by the third period whether or not hockey exists to me after the Olympics.

He says he worked a lot on his skating this offseason because he saw the analytics and realized he was slower last year than he was his rookie season and thought that was unacceptable.

Kevyn dealt a bad player and a bad contract for an asset. It’s progress if the money is used to make us better. It’s more of the same if it’s to save Terry money.

He’s definitely going to get a long term offer, it’s just about what he thinks is in his best interest. McDavid is guaranteed to reset the market next season. Wouldn’t it be wise for Marner to cash in on that rather than wait 5 extra years?

It depends on the return for Byram. If it’s someone like Rasmus Andersen (sp?), we need to make another more for a top 6 forward and probably by our Mule. If we get back a top 6 forward for Byram, we should overpay one of the two top RHD UFAs.

Sign Marner to a 2 year deal. There’s only one year guaranteed overlap and the cap is rising anyway. Mitch might bite at the chance to sign for 6x18 in 2027. NHL players need to start thinking like their NBA brethren.
