It wouldn’t make sense not to. As much as people clowned on idemo, it did get more positive around here. People want to be optimistic. Every season we see people push themselves to shake negativity and embrace the positive. The organization should be shooting shots to improve fan base health.

It’s interesting that Terry has never fired a GM for a teams performance on the ice.

It’s an organization thing through and through. During the three game win streak I put in a request for information on season tickets. I finally got contacted on Monday. The phone rang two times and then stopped, no voicemail. I called it back and it rang out to no machine. Then I got a call back again from an abomination of a sales person. It was embarrassing. It’s a loser culture throughout the building. On my way out of the arena last night there was an employee bitching loudly to himself about another loss. It’s a joke.

Lindy was going to take away the team sauna, but Mike Bales pulled him aside and said he was worried it would throw UPL off his game. Moving forward only Scandinavians are allowed in the sauna, the rest of the team must stick to the hot tub and cold plunge.

The arena was buzzing in the first. My dad and I were talking about splitting seasons between intermissions.

I don’t think I’ve ever been this mad over a game before. I was stunned leaving the arena and by the time I finished my own game, I told myself after Thursday I’d be done for the season. Then today I woke up and my first thought was ***** this team. I said before the season what a joke it was that this team has 5 captains. These guys are all babies being led by babies. I’m so tired of poo-poo Alex Tuch all the time. Power can go. Cozens can go. Tuch can go. Dahlin can go. Quinn can go. Get rid of them all. Bring in heart. give one letter out stapled to Zucker’s chest. The Bills win despite injuries because they play like a team full of hungry dogs ready to feast. Usually lead by a bunch of late draft picks outside of Allen. There is none of that here. Bring in the dogs. Fire Adams. Bring someone in from outside the organization to come in and speak very directly the the fans, the team, and the organization that the culture of losing is not acceptable and the blame for 13+ years falls squarely on the shoulders of everyone who has been employed wearing the logo since the drought started. Let him fire Ruff to show this mediocre BS isn’t acceptable. Bring in Gallant. Clean the ***** house.

I committed to going to Thursdays game during the win streak, so I’ll be there again. There will be a sell the team chant if things go poorly. Terry needs to be embarrassed every single home game until we start winning or he sells. I want him to feel towards Sabres fans the way Sabres fans feel towards him.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m really comparatively that big of a Sabres fan. If I feel that way, as someone who still puts on a jersey from his childhood for 85% of games, it makes me think that most fans are probably asking themselves how much they actually care about the team. Eventually us fans have to run out of , right? I don’t think this isn’t the point you were making, but it’s something I’ve been thinking a lot about.

We suck at challenges. Feel like I know where this is going.

I never claimed I had an A game every night, only that I’ve been around competitive sports enough to understand them. I get Stamkos said the NHL is an 80% league, but the Sabres haven’t earned that right. They don’t consistently play a winning game. It’s easy to go in front of the net every game, you just skate in front of the net. It’s easy to block shots, you just skate in front of the shooting lane. It’s easy to go hard into the corners, you just skate hard into the corners. These are basic things that hockey teams revert back to from the lowest level to the highest and we haven’t be able to do those things consistently for years. Sometimes you’ll make mistakes doing those things. So what? You still have to do them. Guys on the Sabres don’t want to do that. Either because it’s not their game and they think they’re too good for it, they’re scared, or they don’t understand simple hockey fundamentals. It’s a problem either way. Ruff essentially said they’re too forgetful. Someone’s gotta figure out how to do their job with consistency.
