Sign Marner to a 2 year deal. There’s only one year guaranteed overlap and the cap is rising anyway. Mitch might bite at the chance to sign for 6x18 in 2027. NHL players need to start thinking like their NBA brethren.

Thoughts: -After all the reports of interest in Peterka, the return is disappointing. Makes me wonder if other GMs thought it would have taken them less -Count me skeptical on Kesselring. I’m not of the belief that D are as plug and play as F, and he’s probably coming in to a less disciplined team defensively -On the flip side, it wouldn’t surprise me if Doan plays a larger role here. People will like him -As long as Kevyn Adams is making the decisions, I will not have confidence in the Sabres being successful -There’s a general turning on Terry over the last 2-3 months coming from the Athletic and their writers. I’m not typically a get off my lawn type but after two failed between the legs moves I’m back to back games I don’t care for Kulich anymore. My tolerance is so low with these guys now. I’m sure he’ll be fine. They’ll all be fine. Outside of Nylander, is there anyone how didn’t find more success outside of the organization?
