I don’t want either of them anywhere near Team USA at this point. It’s gotta be earned, not given.

It’s not expected to. To my knowledge, the handful of expected Team USA players that are injured should all be back in time. Matthew Tkachuk is the biggest maybe.

If he keeps up this level of play through the rest of the season he’ll have the second best contract on the team.

Went to the game today. I’m used to seeing us get spanked in Raleigh so this was a nice treat. Samuelsson is currently our best defenseman. What a season from him so far. Benson and Zucker really drive this team more than the scoresheet lets on. Lots of good performances today.

It’s almost like this is common knowledge throughout the league and that three goalies doesn’t work. It’s not Lindy keeping all three up.

This simply isn’t true at all.

The thing that bugs me most about the whole Jerry Forton and his influence is how there’s a story out there that he’s close to the McAvoy’s and was pushing hard for us to draft Charlie, but we instead went Nylander. The one time the guy was right, we ignored him.

Tuch and Thompson both came into the season considered bubble players for Team USA and each matched a skill-set Team USA needs. So far, neither have done anything positive to increase their chances. Does anyone think they’ll make the Olympics and what would need to be done before then for either one to get the call?

This was my thought at the comeback game last year. 1. 0-0…Well at least if the Sabres get blown out I get to watch two of the leagues best players light is up 2.
