The thing that bugs me most about the whole Jerry Forton and his influence is how there’s a story out there that he’s close to the McAvoy’s and was pushing hard for us to draft Charlie, but we instead went Nylander. The one time the guy was right, we ignored him.

Tuch and Thompson both came into the season considered bubble players for Team USA and each matched a skill-set Team USA needs. So far, neither have done anything positive to increase their chances. Really good right up here, but I want to add that I’m pretty sure Ovi has always typically sat at the very end of the bench closest to the opposing goal, regardless of where the rest of his line is.

Quinn, Samuelsson, and Timmins have all been better than I expected them to be. They’ll need to keep it up if we’re going to make the playoffs.

Pretty reasonable today. We got a couple seats in the lower bowl for $70 before fees. I don’t remember seeing them this cheap in the past. The city is distracted by the Jays, nobody wants to see the wheels come off against the Sabres tonight.

I think I’ll be there today. We were going to go to the Jays game, but prices never really budged. Will be my first time at Scotiabank outside of an Alanis Morrisette concert. Sabres will need to win convincingly to beat her performance.

The Sabres have a huge opportunity to shut up the visiting leafs fans and give our crowd something to cheer about. Then turn around tomorrow and suck the life out of a Toronto crowd hyped for the World Series. Weekends like this going right is how you win back a fanbase. I’ll be watching with my two year old. Give us something to cheer about, boys! Go Sabres.
