I don’t see a Huberdeau situation happening with Sam in the slightest. Sure, he isn’t going to be a PPG+ player for 6-8 years, but I think his style of game ages well. He’s a net front puck hound with crazy hand eye skills. As his skating declines you continue to increase his O-Zone usage. Similarly to how Vanek aged well for what he was, I think we’ll see the same for Sam, only with increased production.

This is almost always the case once a player hits the open market. Team control is a helluva drug.

If I remember correctly I made my first post speaking out against the Must Win crowd in 2019 (to great pushback). My crusade has found home in its own thread and can now be seen in most GDTs by many different posters. If we do not stop with Must Wins, we will never make the playoffs.
