A few bad reads and he was late on a few cross crease moves, but I posted up thread that he is coming off double hip replacement surgery and missed of all camp, the preseason and is playing his 4th professional game in NA. I hoped for more but he probably played as well as could be expected. He is big though and seems very athletic.

Maybe you don't and I don't but that's what they did. To expect the back up and back up's back up to stone an NHL team is overly optimistic.

Accurate assessment. It also looks like they are still trying to figure out where to be in the system. When they are wheelin they are better.

Third stringers and back ups are not expected to steal anything.

They gave up two breakaways. The skaters haven't outplayed anyone.

Our problem is all our forwards are trying to create. With the exception of Moulson, who does look to be fed,they are tryin to pass it into the net. We a Vanek type who floats to open ice waiting for the feed. Kane shoots, but he has the puck on his stick too long before he does. Moving centers to wing is part of it. They all want to hold it.

Can we just send Tampa Gionta for the right to the first phone call letting us know he was traded anywhere? We could even retain Gionta's salary. Maybe sweeten the deal with Weber and Gorges.

Wow....just wow! The night Katrina hit I went to local blues club in Chicago that was holding a vigil. Musicians that were on the road started showing up, jazz guys, blues guys, you name it. None could get back to NOLA. We partied to daylight and when the first daylight photos came in the defiance turned to horror. Remembering the hospitality extended to me I offered few of them my home, access to computers to track down their familiy and friends. Three stayed with me for 3 weeks because they couldn't get back to the ninth ward. They send me Xmas cards every year.

I and my girlfriend were the welcome refugees of the North Charleston Baptist church. Mostly a minority congregation but they had room. When some found out I was from Buffalo they were sympathetic saying "honey its just a bit windy, its not like a blizzard, those are bad." We didn't dare tell them how much worse a hurricane is. And the sound grates. Until it goes quiet.

The building acoustics play a role yes, But a bunch of us went outside to help repair the board that tore loose and you are essentially alone. the wind blew so hard that no matter how hard you yell it is a pimple on an elephant compared to the force the wind is generating. It is impacting on the air and the amplitude your ears hear is mindnumbing. Something I will never forget. ymmv

I was in South Carolina when Hugo came ashore. A couple windows in the shelter failed and had to be boarded over again. The thing that stuck with me all these years was the sound of those winds and the thought of being pinned by them against an immovable object. The sound is other worldly.

Vinz seen playing street hockey with neighborhood kids well past 8 pm curfew. I wonder.... Reports say the new redheaded kid torched him.
