  1. Dang. I don't like to see Dahlin off the ice for 4 on 4.
  2. Muel is so good with his stick against a rush.
  3. He's a good bottom-six option, particularly with his wheels. Certainly replace Bjork. OOOOOOhhhlloffff.... sonovab---
  4. Meanwhile, Hino just neatly battled and cleared the puck out the d zone and got the puck up ice and into VGK's zone.
  5. No one is talking about how Carrier was a Sabre! C'mon, Bucci.
  6. *****, Asplund! Even worse that means Bjork is back in vs. Toronto if Rasmus the Middle misses any time.
  7. Or bundle with Disney+ for the... Adventures in Babysitting franchise. Or some sort of cinematic franchise.
  8. Hulu will win you over before Eichel's leg is broken. Now... a high ankle sprain isn't out of the question, but that's likely to be caused by the boards.
  9. Great pass Cozens, great pass Hino, great finish Krebs. That was nice.
  10. So the question becomes... if the Sabres play a really solid 2nd and maybe get a couple calls to go their way and bury a power play... can the Sabres do enough to get the ESPN announcers talking about them instead of Eichel? You can't boo the children! -- is the Sabres' media dept. thinking.
  11. Good period... Adjustments: stop slashing them, I guess?
  12. VO just didn't get it enough toward the post. But a very good save after getting caught out of the crease. Leave it all on the ice tonight, Sabres. You've got until Sunday to recuperate.
  13. That's not how the Force the Concept Of the makeup call works!
  14. And... the refs tell me: that's a paddlin' penalty and point at Krebs instead.
  15. That's a penalty! Terrible miss. Hinostroza was off for a 1:1!
  16. Good save right there. Eichel still getting tossed out of the faceoff dot I see. Skinner stepped on the puck?
  17. And I should add that Asplund on the 4th line is soooooo much better than Bjork.
  18. Really nice to see Hinostroza in the game over Bjork.
  19. The PP was dangerous and very close. Keep it up, gents.
  20. Maybe in the $2-$4M range where the only loss is a 2nd round pick. This team should not be giving away its 1st round pick (or multiples) in either of the next 2 seasons, because they're likely to be pretty high, and this team is more than one good player away from playoff contention. Unless it's for peak-Hasek and with the same consistency... then sure. Go for it.
  21. After some research, it'd probably a very different world. Risto is way below the D-leaders in PP TOI average (0:48 seconds vs. Provorov, Yandle, and York who are all 2:00 or over). With Braun playing above him in the lineup, and a healthy Ellis, Ristolainen is likely playing on the third pairing with Yandle. Yandle is a tire fire this season. With Risto, their corsi or +/- would be abysmal. However... they'd only play 12 minutes a night which is what Yandle is getting even with all PP2 time. If Ellis is healthy, Risto might be looking at a $2-3M extension or outright free agency... except for that the GM traded for him, therefore Risto is his guy and needs to be extended. (And yet I still think that if he got to UFA... there's a GM out there somewhere who would sign Risto to $6M/year to be PP2 and be that super tough physical guy who would be a playoff menace.)
  22. I wonder how things would have panned out for Ristolainen's ice time and metrics this season if 1st pair RHD Ryan Ellis hadn't missed the entire season (4 games played, now on LTIR).
