I always look at the disheartening cheese tastes of others as the opportunity for myself to further clog the arteries of my own heart. Enheartening cheese, as it were. Turkey sandwich though... so many good options. Cheddar? Classic. Swiss? Just a hint of sharp to go with the mildness and tryptophan. Muenster, havarti. Smoked gouda and turkey? That's some good stuff right there. Your cheese should be the backbone; nay, the calling card, of your turkey sandwich. There's nothing more in-your-face-American than that.

It's not just Moulson; that had to happen, it just took too long. It's bringing in another NHL winger who has Won a Cup and played playoff hockey recently, and then only one callup -- keeping Rochester intact. That's the beauty of the scene -- Norris, after saying "Loud and clear"... shoots the radio. I have received your message. I am taking action. No more messages will be received. (Perhaps each of those responses will take place. Perhaps none. I hope it simply serves as a wake-up call.)

That is why I fail. This one boils down to sports psychology. Looking at the roster in the pre-season... was it Cup-contender level? No. It was "battling for a playoff spot" level, though. In this weaker Atlantic division we should be in the 3rd-5th range. Take 20 games to get it going, and then play well the rest of the way. But I certainly didn't believe we'd be... whatever we're at now record-wise. Not comparable to our AHL-level roster, tank-level dismal dreck. This team really needs a shot of belief in themselves (and system, coach, what-have-you). They need a sports movie montage. Or some Dagobah training to follow my idiom. The questions of course are: what will be their spark? And when?

Agreed on all counts. I really like Larsson, but I must now caveat that with -- Larsson of the Gionta/Foligno/Larsson 3rd line era. Agitating, occasional late goal, etc. But this season he looks so very lost (more than average on this team, which is ... awful). I had really hoped he'd be our Sami Pahlsson-type, but now I think Larsson needs the change of scenery and JBot needs the speedier player. We bolstered the bottom 6 with two simple swaps (and I like the inclusion of Fasching as well, provided he stays in the lineup). The message is sent. And we can only hope that when the players hear the message they respond with: <envision a gif of Delta Force Norris saying "loud and clear" and then shooting up the radio>

Hate leads to... suffering. Rodrigues and Wilson should both be in the lineup, right? Our healthy defense will finally start to gel now that they've played a couple games together and had some practices.
