  1. Luuuuuukk! Big and square on Zucarello. All too easy.
  2. Wow. Cozens had him. And that trailing leg by Talbot saved it. What a fantastic save.
  3. OT is where we need a top line talent (the Eichel-factor) to step up and make something happen. We need someone to be that guy in OT on the roster.
  4. Would have loved to have gotten a goal or two in the first and hung on for the win. But good battle to get the tying goal and get to overtime.
  5. That Greenway-Foligno line is big and strong.
  6. When the Sabres aren't terrified of their own goalie... they're not a terrible team. That bodes well for the future as the talent grows.
  7. Hayden doing his job. Working over Kaprizov before the faceoff. Keep it up.
  8. In the words of Mark Renton: Yeaaaaaah! A ******** gasser!
  9. That top line is just so reluctant to dump it and go get it. Good standing up by the Wild at their blue line on multiple entries.
  10. All in all... an entertaining game thus far. Some end-to-end rushes. Some physicality. Plenty of good saves. Let's get a point out of it!
  11. Pop songs aren't written for older folks like me. They're written for the kids still forming their musical tastes. Ahhh, but I can still appreciate a well-crafted bubblegum pop tune. Whether it's from the '60s, '70s, or whenever Party in the USA was recorded.
  12. UPL has kept us in games. Per the Wild broadcast, Talbot has been flat-out winning games for the Wild the last month.
  13. C'mon. It's infectious pop drivel. It's a perfect goal song by Jeff Skinner. Possibly even a bit tongue-in-cheek. More players should score a goal and demand some Reckoner or Weird Fishes or Burn the Witch to be blared.
  14. National Anthem is a Radiohead track. Very different tune. Skinner will score more at home at this year. 🍺 Sheesh. Talbot is on fire tonight.
  15. So uncivilized. Ach -- carrying play and then their top line shows up strong.
  16. They're playing Skinner's song coming out of the tv timeout break.
  17. He's playing his role. As @dudacek noted, he's got the quiet effectiveness. The biggest change for Hayden is he's now on a line with similar grinder folks. R2 was passing to Hayden and looking for a give-and-go and such, thinking an offensive game. But Hayden's hands do not support that. Girgs is not an offense-minded center and Asplund is defensively sound first and foremost. It's a good line to match to Hayden. They just won't get much generated in the O zone unless the D-men are active.
  18. They lost Leddy, aren't getting goaltending like normal, had an epic road trip to start the season because of the new building, then had a COVID wave sweep through, and aren't getting the transition/counterattack goals that we've seen from them the last few seasons. It's been a imperfect storm for them.
  19. Well... Dell was just sent down.
