IMO Zegras would cost at least Quinn. He’s talented but I’d rather keep Quinn and go after a more experienced top six guy.

I’ve received my fair share of negative emojis on my KA statements but I just don’t think he’s what this team needs. The organization hired a very experienced coach after two failed newbie attempts. How many inexperienced GMs does it take to realize you need experience behind the GM wheel? I think his moves to revamp the fourth line are ok but are they worth the AAV he gave? Are we really going with Benson at 2LW and Krebs at 3C?

I sure hope it happens. Benson is not a second liner yet. Krebs will be a career fourth liner IMO.

A 2W and 3C, both established veterans. A gritty 4W to complement Krebs’ style would be great too. Peterka TT Tuch TBD Cozens Quinn Greenway TBD Benson Malenstyn Krebs TBD/prospect Picks/prospects might get you the 3C. The 2W is going to cost a roster player I think. Given KA spent a second on a fourth liner and it’s known he’s on the hot seat, I think Quinn + pick(s) or Benson + prospect(s) is the asking price from a trade partner. Someone looking to replace a late twenties or early thirties top six guy with younger talent. Replacing Benson in house is easier than Quinn. Especially if the 3C is a solid veteran who can mentor the 3RW along with Greenway. Oh yeah, leave the D and goaltending as is. Other options include Power or Byram to acquire the 2LW. Theoretically we are better defensively with the new 3C, more experienced goal tenders, and subtraction of Skinner.

So another soft player? At least the team has an identity 😂

If, and that’s a big IF, this is true I wouldn’t be surprised. Everyone knows KA is on the hot seat. He can’t go into next season with a similar roster. GMs should want to deal with him because he should kind of be desperate to reimage this team. But their patience will run out if they constantly have the same infantile conversation.

Fans 100% deserve a better product. The team represents the city and the fans.

These are all reason for other teams to want to deal with Buffalo IMO. Or KA asks for too much because he thinks his players are better than they are.

I wouldn’t say they’re blacklisted just because Peters had an alleged phone call. Don’t even know who the caller was or their type of access. If I was a GM I’d love to deal with Buffalo. Inexperienced GM who doesn’t know which way is up. No better opportunity to fleece an opponent.

I voted no. Got some opposing reactions. Next will be the talk about how he probably tried but it’s a hard job. It is definitely a hard job especially when you are inexperienced and not the right guy for the team/situation.
