This is gonna be good.

Yeah it says that was at the start of the season. Definitely not accurate to the day.

According to ChatGPT, the current number of NHL players by country is: Canada: 434 players United States: 208 players Sweden: 106 players Finland: 50 players Russia: 40 players Czech Republic: 38 players The next highest is Switzerland with 12 players in the NHL. So unless there is a significant change in demographics, this tournament could max out at six teams. Would still be fun to watch.

What will be the Sabres approach at the trade deadline?
SABRES 0311 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
I think our predictions of what happens is tainted by what we know needs to happen. The more I think about it the more I believe KA will get little done other than trading Zucker. I don't want Zucker to leave but I think KA is under pressure to do something and frustration at not being able to do anything during the season will cloud judgement. -

DOGE About To Make Things Worse for Veterans
SABRES 0311 replied to K-9's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Leaving the military is more complicated than I gave credit to until it was my turn. Service components have transition assistance programs which are multi-day seminars. I don't think they are VA lead. However, the VA does provide transition assistance and arguably the best part is compensation, housing, and education. Cutting VA personnel would rationally result in longer processing times for those services. At present my next degree plan is on hold because transferring to a new school means aligning my GI Bill to that new school. The VA is consistently slammed for needing reform due to processing times and efforts to refine the VA should focus on improving manpower, not cutting it. As for the claim DOGE will disproportionately affect hiring veterans, I think you could take the numbers and say that about any group, veterans, by race, by gender, so on. Federal jobs come with the rating of GG, GS, and others. Those are government civilian positions. Contractors are different and there is a plethora of those positions, many of which align to military occupations. Meaning military skills directly translate to civilian employment. Then there's skill bridge opportunities, also with contract companies. I do agree only hiring one person for every four that are released negatively impacts veterans but also impacts nonveterans. The article does not specify the E.O. If it is the same E.O. then most of the article would be BS. -
I like the fast play and there’s some physicality. Would rather see this than the all star garbage.

Totally understand that. After 20 years my medical record was about as thick as a new recruit. However, there were some things that did get entered during my career that magically did not populate during VA appointments. I know VSOs are available but it is what it is. I did appreciate the VA sending me to an abandoned motel for an appointment. 😆

DOGE needs to look into the VA. Specifically, their efficiency in processing claims and criteria used to determine if something is service connected. Not saying everyone should receive a 100% VA rating but there are some disparities I have seen when you compare two former service members' ratings given their occupation specialty, operational history, and time in service.

Disinterested at this point. Something to watch after working all day but no emotional attachment to meaningless games.

Still sucked. Regardless of the viewer’s skin color.

Ever since Tupac and Biggie died, tools like Jay-Z and Diddy opened the door for soft men trying to make hard music. We know it today as bubblegum rap.

Quite possible the dumbest halftime show 😂

I understand what you are saying about the Middle East. Other than making sure the Strait of Hormuz stays open I would be fine with letting people of that region figure their own messes out. Unfortunately the Great Power Competition may not allow for that.

Yeah. Hathaway took Cozens’. -
In the context of security clearances, the term secure refers to spaces cleared for processing, discussion, storage of classified/national security information. A courtroom/jail is not a facility built to those standards. FISA court would be an exception.

For those interested there is a Microsoft Outlook vulnerability. When you click an attachment to preview (protected view), malicious code can bypass the preview to give an actor high level privileges to files. CVE-2024-21413

Have Dylan Cozens & Mattias Samuelsson been stripped of their “A”s

It’s a rumor until it’s not. I think two As are enough for a team. TT and Tuch I understand but not really Cozens or Muel. -
OT: Cosm Venue, would you pay to watch a game at one of these?

I don’t think he takes anything less than what Power makes. -
You really think because the previous administration is no longer here what they have done is just in the past? Do you really think the money USAID funnels into Afghanistan through the UN is helping innocent people? I’m sure the Taliban and ISIS are keeping their hands out of it. Apparently $15 mil from USAID went to the Taliban for condoms. Money well spent. A lot more wasted money across other government agencies to include the DoD. A long hard look should be taken at all agencies and government personnel. As far as my comments about the withdrawal, if Trump was president I guarantee this board would be screaming how the wannabe dictator cost 13 Americans their lives. I guess all the military hardware in the hands of the Taliban, who have a history of supporting extremism, is just in the past. No way that could ever come back to bite us. If Trump had said no military were in combat zones during his administration people would go nuts. But because the lefts cackling queen idiot said it, leftists stay quiet.
-
There’s 13 reasons why you should care about how much Biden’s withdrawal sucked but I’m not surprised you don’t. Then again Harris claimed there were no U.S. service members in combat zones. I’m sure their supporters believed it too. Im sure all the money USAID has funneled into Afghanistan since the Taliban took over has been well spent.

Aside from some medical assistance, pretty much anything they did in Afghanistan over 20 years was a waste. They even admitted to wasting money on projects that Afghans rejected because it would make them a target of extremists. It was the whole buy the hearts and minds thing. There words paraphrased. Only thing more inept was the Biden administration’s approach to the withdrawal.
