Well I can attest from personal experience that USAID is either full of stupid people or has a serious issue with fraud, waste, and abuse.

Remember people were all about the next generation getting into politics? 😂 Who needs life experience?

Good win for Reimer. Composed and made some good saves. Tuch stepped up in TT’s absence. Gilbert showing he’s a willing combatant but Olivier is better.

No idea what the end goal is with China when it comes to tariffs. I do know China 2049 and what they have been doing is of concern. Regarding Canada you should take the blinders off when reading what I said. I specifically said getting Canada to label cartels as terrorist organizations could have been done without tariffs IMO. I am not familiar with Canadian laws but the difference calling some group or person a terrorist vs criminal is not negligible. First off, prosecuting criminals is the point of pursuit and capture. When it comes to terrorists, sometimes killing them is the purpose of pursuit. Some you capture to make your way up the chain or if they surrender. Others get a bullseye.

From Lucic to Noesen - The Sabre lack of backbone exposed again
SABRES 0311 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
One of your top players gets laid out hard. Your team isn’t making the playoffs but you are up two goals anyway. Not sure why there wasn’t much retaliation but mindset is what it is. World keeps turning. -
As far as the Colombians having criminal records there are conflicting statements between Petro and Trump. Neither have provided proof so I don’t believe either of them until that happens. I agree with you on how they were treated. No water is a hard line for me. It is cruel and I have been in situations where detainees were provided water and more at a minimum. If they were all non violent then children and elderly should’ve been afforded the bathroom. Leg restraints would be on a person by person basis but unnecessary for children and elderly women. When it comes to handcuffing, for children I think it’s unnecessary. For adults, you better believe they are getting cuffed if we are in a steel tube 30k feet in the air. I don’t care what your record, nationality, gender, race, or religion is. These people were desperate enough to break U.S. law to either gain entry or stay. They come from a country where cartels, corruption, murder, and trafficking have made them desperate. Desperate people do unpredictable things. In an airplane I am more worried about reducing their capability to act out in desperation than I am about their comfortability. So, on quite a bit of things we can agree but the handcuffing of adults, specifically military aged males is not one of them. In flight security takes priority, period.

The post on X had me thinking there was drama involved in the decision. -

Can you (or anyone) explain this to me? -
What do you mean by needlessly cruel? In your own words previous administrations have deported illegal immigrants back to Colombia. The tariff threat was a result of the Colombian president not accepting them because he said military planes made them look like criminals. They accepted their people and the tariff was rescinded.
-
The issue was Colombian President, Petro felt the deportees were being treated like criminals by being flown on U.S. military aircraft. Edit: Looks like Colombia will be picking their people up. Since putting them on a military aircraft supposedly makes them look like criminals, Colombia is using their Air Force.
-
He didn’t back down on the Colombian tariff. Columbia conceded and there was no reason to enact the tariff. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/01/26/politics/colombia-tariffs-trump-deportation-flights I didn’t even say I was for or against tariffs. Just that Trump has made them a part of his economic plan.

Depends on the person. For me its: -Foreign policy as it relates to military application. -Domestic economics with an understanding geoeconomics has an impact. -The border is part of the first issue because of trafficking and potential for extremists to gain entry. I personally am less concerned about domestic sociopolitical issues but am not apathetic towards them.

They did a good job containing Pastrnak. Laid the body on him a few times. TT and Peterka obviously with great offensive production. Wish it was more consistent. No major defensive complaints other than the late 2 on 0. Good offensive zone passing. It was accurate and creative. Signs of confidence. UPL had flashes of brilliance mixed with some difficulties tracking rebounds. Good win even if it was an uncharacteristic performance by BOS. I appreciate the optimism, I really do. This team’s playoff hopes are dead though. Nothing in the last five plus years indicates they are reliable enough to pull that off. Especially when everyone else is making a push.

Trump Cabinet Nominations
SABRES 0311 replied to SABRES 0311's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
Then what exactly do you think Trump going to do with Hegseth as SecDef? Only thing I have heard is the military supporting border patrol and calling for an end to the Ukraine war. I don’t subscribe to taking the Panama Canal or Greenland by force theory. I get he did not explicitly rule out military use for the Panama Canal but I do not see that happening. -

A president pushing nominees who will help them push their agenda. Who would’ve thought?
