I like that every single time someone says they don’t like a trade package someone immediately pounces saying “then don’t trade Eichel.” No *****. That is why we are expressing the package isn’t good enough.

The more I look around the league the more I think Anaheim is the team we should be linking up with here. There's no way you can get Zegras AND Drysdale (if you could, I'd do it one for two). I think you have to get Zegras here and then third overall. There's got to be another piece here. If it's Gibson I want them taking Okposo back (even if we retain a small amount). Max Comtois? Josh Manson? I'm willing to add one of our other moveable pieces like Risto, Olofsson or other picks here. I want Zegras for obvious reasons but I'd also love to get third overall because getting Power and Beniers and running would be a fantastic way to capitalize on an otherwise weak draft.

This is an accurate description of what happened. Thank you. I hope you've enjoyed this.

You can call it what you want but when what you have and do isn't working you do something else.

It's exciting when you say it like that. And it legitimately can't be worse than it has already been. Let's make something happen here.

I haven’t done a deep dive on Edvinsson in a few weeks but I remember there being more than occasional boneheaded plays from him. Just seems to not have a high hockey IQ.
-
He can fleece you if you’re dumb enough to let him. Don’t go full Botterill.
-
This seems to be a somewhat commonly held thought and I despise it. We got *****. But we also have a new GM and you can't just write off trade partners for dumb reasons like this. It's how you devalue your own assets without even letting other teams do that work.
-
I don't feel bad that you're strangely offended by the joke. It comes from knowing a lot of college hockey kids.
-
Indeed, though if they keep finding guys like McAvoy they'll be in good shape. Some good young talent there still. Maybe not enough to compete if they keep losing meaningful vets, though.

Goodnight, Boston. I hope Krejci leaves in free agency. Have always liked him and would like to see them lose a glue player like that.
-
Potentially. That seems to be the assumption ownership made, as well. They’ve certainly done a good job making decisions over the course of their time here.
-
I’d have preferred another year. I think that team was capable of making a playoff run and, as they say, winning cures all.
-
Or Buffalo

To be fair, it pretty much did work. They just remained stagnant for one year so the front office and team got blown up.

Do you think they’re Eskimo brothers?

TNT joining ESPN as the Other NHL US Broadcast Partner

We were all pretty far off on that deal. Methinks Shea Weber is a Hall of Famer. PK? Was on track to be but would need a late-career resurgence. -
That’s precisely what I’m saying. Blow it completely up. I honestly feel kind of inspired by the success Vegas has had early on. Florida also had success with a HUGE roster overhaul like ten years ago but that was with less talent. I think when you get a ton of new guys in a room they’re forced to foster good culture.

He’s the type of guy that you showcase to grow the game. Really looking forward to his post-career work in that realm. -

Bob Wischusen and Leah Hextall will do some play-by-play for ESPN but they haven’t picked their number one yet. Steve Levy and Sean McDonagh, already under contract with the ESPN, are two people under consideration. Kevin Weekes, PK Subban, Ray Ferraro and Brian Boucher have all been signed as analysts. -
I don’t think so. Dahlin and Power would already be locked in to two of the left spots and then you’ve got a third spot for Samuelsson/Bryson. They could decide to put both of them back in the AHL full time but that feels somewhat unlikely.
-
I imagine if they do take Power and plan to have him on the roster from day one McCabe is definitely gone. If they do not then McCabe could easily get a one year deal to up his value.
-
I think if Eichel definitely wants out this team should absolutely go nuts in the offseason and make a TON of changes. I think the culture is bad with Eichel but it’s even worse if you just trade Eichel then run back mostly the same squad.
-
I don’t know why my brain keeps forcing him to the left side but yes definitely switch them.
