  1. It won't change much. Most suspensions are based on positive drug tests, arrests and video of hits during games. Brady still cheated. Very clearly. The judge is just arguing that the suspension isn't consistent with how the league has handled similar instances in the past.
  2. I think Toews is an all-time great leader and all-around player when all is said and done. He deserves to be up there in my book. It will be very interesting to see how he performs through the Kane turmoil if it continues.
  3. My first assumption as well. Likely some version of it. Apparently that is a "Jesterhead." It's a fan of a Swedish metal band. No LoTR here.
  4. I agree that there's no way the front office made the QB decision. I feel like there's some piss poor reporting going on. Just piling on.
  5. Yes. When somebody asked him if he was saying Taylor was forced onto the coaching staff he responded by saying "I stand by what I wrote." That tells me he's saying "yes, I already said that."
  6. Wawrow is saying on Twitter that the Jackson decision AND the Taylor decision were made by the front office and not the coaching staff. Bills PR department, according to Graham, said it is a fake account.
  7. Here's what appears to be a preview of Robin Lehner's mask. It was posted on David Gunnarsson's Instagram. David and Robin have worked together previously on masks and the mask clearly has Buffalo on the right side. Preview also featured a ghost woman walking across the screen so I'm assuming there's some type of horror aspects to his mask.
  8. TBN reported that Myers sold his Buffalo home to Ryan O'Reilly for $1.34M.
  9. Players tribune is an editorial website founded by Derek Jeter (started it like the day after he retired). They have an actual staff of editors, but everything is written by or at least said by athletes. They used to claim that everything was written by the players and just edited for correctness, but I believe that stopped when it slipped out that one article was actually where a player interviewed with the editor and the editor wrote the article for him. Some are still written by players entirely I assume, but either way it's an awesome concept.
  10. Graham is also more able to put out reports like that without facing any consequences. He's no longer on the Bills beat the way others are, so when he reports something like that the actual reporters at the games and pressers are the ones who face the music. Not Timmy.
  11. I don't think I could possibly more consistent in this instance. I gave him credit for Jerry Hughes in the post above and knock him for taking Manuel. He wasn't in the actual GM position for either of those moves. But Manuel was taken on April 25, 2013. Jerry Hughes was acquired April 29, 2013. None of the moves I listed happened in that timeframe.
  12. You're on the right track with the second and third thoughts. But I wouldn't call Whaley a builder for this defense. He wasn't the primary decision maker for Mario, Dareus, Bradham, Aaron Williams or Gilmore. None of the main pieces. I'll count Hughes (he wasn't in charge yet but was two weeks after so he probably made that move).
  13. End it. 4 or none. My guess is the suspension remains but the written decision rips the NFL to shreds in the way they acted. Basically "because I don't want to set a precedent in other labor disputes on a smaller scale I'm going to maintain the suspension. HOWEVER, you're an idiot, Roger." I'm no lawyer/judge. I have no idea what is actually going to happen. But that decision makes sense to me. I don't really care what the outcome is. I know a few things: Brady cheated, acted foolishly in destroying his phone, the players failed each other by agreeing to the disciplinary system in place that allows Goodell to be the arbiter in these cases, Goodell made this harder on himself than it needed to be and I want this over.
  14. That's the only view I could recall. The plurality of "ideas" made me think there was more to it. Is calling something "utopian" conceding that it's the best or at least a positive outcome? So gun rights supporters referring to the idea of no guns as "utopian" means even they admit it's a positive, no? So... Can we just do that? (Obviously it's not that simple. Unattainable given to current nature of our country).
  15. Maybe I'm not familiar with Eleven's ideas. What has he said in the past that you consider Utopian? (Legitimate question)
  16. Does calling something "imaginary" even take away from the idea? Cars were imaginary at one point. So were helicopters and sky scrapers and free African Americans and women voters. Just because something exists only in the imagination at present does not mean it must remain there.
  17. There was no issue with reading comprehension, despite your poor attempt at the common insult. "What do we hear from the great unifier in chief? NOTHING. Yes, he did call the widow of the slain officer but that's it." I was saying you claim he said nothing but then followed up with a sentence ending with "but that's it." That's something. He isn't ignoring this murder as you insinuated. And your clarification came after my response so it doesn't apply to what I said. So he's done two very loud things: called the widow and issued a statement. Does that mean your post is, for the most part, moot? He's spoken out on it. On the portion of BLM saying ridiculous things and condoning violence: ignoring them is the best move. Especially because they do have freedom of speech. If asked about it I'm sure he would respond, but I believe going out of his way would bring far more attention than that portion of the movement deserves. If it becomes part of the vocal majority and seems to be building up towards actual violent acts then it should be addressed. But until then they don't need to be given the attention they so desire. Also: why is "Utopian" now used to shout down other ideas? Shouldn't we strive for that?
  18. Airplanes and stubhub. They lived in Seattle for a few years (she was born and raised there). Moved back to Buffalo last year and became season ticket holders at the Ralph. They make money off of the Seattle seasons. Go to one or two games a year then sell the others (often for double the face value).
  19. First: you can't claim the president has said nothing then follow it up by providing proof that he indeed has. Second: (and we've had this discussion before) Is this a large issue? Is it common for African Americans to walk up to a cop and gun them down? I honestly don't know if it is. I highly doubt it is. But, as I've said before, the president can't and won't address every individual murder. This isn't, unless the number support otherwise, a large issue that needs national attention. Obviously cops are gunned down during altercations and arrests semi-often but that's not what this is. It's not a larger issue. Simple as that for me. It's not a large national issue. Him calling the widow is admirable and plenty. If the president were to address every murder then he wouldn't have time to do anything else. Have we become gun violence? Is that all we do as a country now? Shoot each other? Let it stop. Please.
  20. My brother and his fiancé are Bills AND Seahawks season ticket holders so the move for Jackson is perfect.
  21. Ian Rapoport: With QB Tyrod Taylor starting for #Bills in Week 1, expect that either Matt Cassel or EJ Manuel will not be on Buffalo’s roster by then.
  22. I don't think so. I think McCoy is the first, second and third down back. Karlos Williams and Boobie will handle the short yardage situations. Bryce Brown will still get cut.
  23. In other news it appears the Brady case will be decided on by the judge in the next two days, per a guy who snuck his phone into the courtroom. By next two days the judge apparently meant today or tomorrow.
  24. Now that it seems to have calmed down: this move sucks. But it's not like "wtf so Buffalo ugh" terrible. They've got options at RB. My hope is that they plan to be active on the waiver wire as other cuts come in and needed to free up some space. But Freddy was still capable and only had one year left. They could've avoided any potential black eyes with the fans and in future negotiations if they just rode out the year and let him walk/run/retire. I'll miss Freddy. I hope he gets a chance to play elsewhere.
  25. RIP Sabills. We'll never forget you. I just don't get this. Did they not watch his highlights enough? Rex, if you're reading this please watch the highlight video below and reconsider.
