  1. I feel for those who truly cared about a significant other and lost them in this manner. I'm sure it's another level compared to a sibling because of the connection and guilt you must feel. I'm sure you've played a great role in supporting him/her. The wife he left behind is a vile human being who only cares when it puts her in an advantageous position.
  2. Really glad to hear this man. Yesterday capped off suicide prevention week with many 'Out of the Darkness' walks around the country. I wasn't able to participate (worked dayside) but my family was and they had a blast. So many good people who cared surprisingly showed up to support my family and those who knew my brother. My mom, who has been very introverted since my brother's suicide and other incidents, got out and ended up raising over $500 for the cause (in a small town that's a ton of money). She was so happy at the end of the day when we talked about it. A great day.
  3. Catenacci is the bearded one and the other is Ruhwedel.
  4. Disagree. The Colts got smashed in the AFC Championship but are still among the NFL's best. A popular Super Bowl pick.
  5. McCoy's hamstring definitely had an impact but the o-line helped zilch. And 24 yards on 14 carries isn't .58 yards. :p Finished with 17 for 41 (2.4 yards) rushing and 3 catches for 46 yards. So 87 yards on 20 touches total (4.35 yards per touch).
  6. Brilliant play call by Roman there on the designed Tyrod run. Got himself enough yards for an easy Carpenter field goal. 10-0.
  7. RONALD DARBY! Having a great game so far. A couple soft cushions but made a few plays. What a pick there.
  8. First drive thoughts: McCoy is definitely not 100%. Blocking wasn't good on his first two carries, but when he got the ball in space he just fell when trying to shake the only defender near him (normally able to move right by). Tyrod ran when he had time to look down the field after the first rush got through on that third down. Let's see if the defense can step up. Look weak last drive before some penalties stalled the Colts. The record book will show that Matt Cassel started this game, by the way. So Tyrod still waits to start his first career NFL game at QB. No pass rush so far. Defense getting abused.
  9. Tony Gonzalez picked a Bills vs Seahawks Super Bowl. Also, this is a must-watch: http://deadsp.in/5eDKh7V
  10. I know more Muslims than I know Christians.
  11. I feel the same way as I cry into a bucket of ice cream after realizing that people still love and root for a "meh" fighter like Mayweather. That's why I stick with UFC outside of a shot to see Mayweather lose. I don't want to miss it if it happens live. WildCard - I don't watch Mayweather for entertainment value. I just like any chance to see him get punched in the face. Boxing is bad now. I agree on this point for the most part in all other sports but this is one where there's a definite awareness of it that is ignored by the fighters.
  12. Boxing is a joke. Let's just dance around for 12 rounds. Go into the last few knowing a knockout is the only shot at a victory but just let your opponent dance around anyways. Throw all caution to the wind and go all out. it. You get knocked out, whatever. At least try. (I know it's unbelievably exhausting and highly unlikely that your opponent would end up knocked out before you did if you used that strategy late). I hate Floyd Mayweather. scumbag. I hope he falls down the stairs tomorrow.
  13. Not photos of the individual. All you can see is police and the tent they put up around the scene.
  14. Somebody just shot themself in the face in the RV lot at RWS... Wow. On a day so many participated in "Out of the Darkness" walks around the country to raise awareness for suicide prevention this happens. What a shame. (This is per multiple people who were very near the incident - one who posted pictures on Twitter of the scene)
  15. Modest is definitely great live. Not much though. Didn't talk at all really (probably because of the weather). They had to switch guitars after every song to keep dry. Haven't listened to Coheed since early high school so it was kind of a blast from the past. Couldn't have told you two weeks ago they were still together. Was cool to see them.
  16. Edge Fest (well really half of Coheed and Cambria's set and the entirety of Modest Mouse's) was an absolute blast in the pouring rain. I've been wetter underwater and it just made it that much better. MM has been a favorite of mine for such a long time now. Got a free ticket last minute and really enjoyed the show by myself. Great time.
  17. Note: Tyrod Taylor has missed two games in his entire career so far. And he probably could've played in the second if he wasn't in a QB rotation essentially that year at Va Tech.
  18. There's nothing dreamy about that. You can disagree all you want but that doesn't mean it's crazy.

  20. Precisely! And I actually just got a free ticket to Edgefest so ill spend my night with Modest Mouse instead.
  21. Anybody going tonight? Had an unexpected change in work schedule for the day and may go but don't feel like going it alone.
  22. http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2015-09-08/christian-hackenberg-penn-state-nfl-draft-scouting-report-analysis-film-strengths-weaknesses A breakdown of Hackenberg after last week's game. No QB would find success in this offense. Statistically he's doing what he can. His freshman season was the only time they had any sort of talent around him and it resulted in two wins against ranked teams (including Wisconsin who had hopes of playing in a BCS game before the loss) and a WR drafted in the second round. I'm confident that Hackenberg will be drafted early and it will be for good reason. I'm not going to swear on his NFL success (I think he's the perfect example of somebody who could learn from a veteran starter as he regains confidence for a season).
