  1. As someone who has criticized people for looking at charts and labeling a player I should be ashamed of myself but I’ve fallen for the narrative on his fancy charts. That or I’m misremembering. But I don’t believe the metrics look good, at all.
  2. WR1 will be getting a new contract after this year and they don’t have their MLB locked up under contract - he’s due for an extension. Those are the last two current contracts to get set. Eventually they’ll (ideally) be adding to the offensive line. They’ll need good players on rookie deals. Every good team has and that’s not going to change.
  3. The Bills do need to go for it this year and Trubisky is a very marginal contributor to “it.” Beane would take the first. He’d laugh if he read this thread.
  4. If there’s remote interest in him as a starter he walks after this season. This conversation is making my brain hurt. You trade Trubisky for a first if someone is stupid enough to offer a first. Or a second for that matter. My lord. Another reason to do it: if you acquire a first it gives you even more fire power to offer a first in a deal if you see a means to upgrading the team immediately.
  5. I think people are underrating how important it is going to be for this team to have good players on rookie contracts for the next few years. Not being willing to trade a mediocre QB for a 1st is lunacy (but, again, it’s not happening. Nobody is even going to offer a 4th unless he does this in the regular season for a couple games).
  6. That’s a ton of projection. For the record, Drysdale has been absolutely abysmal on NHL ice so far.
  7. I’ve wanted him out for over a month now but I think it’s mostly because I saw this very emoji coming if he wasn’t.
  8. I don’t think any of us know what ready is when it comes to goalies. They’re ***** weird. We have at least one here and he’s a weirdo (with love). I think chances are high UPL plays the second most games of any goalie this season.
  9. Carson Wentz was never what Josh Allen is. Yes, this is what having Mitchell is good for. It Josh gets hurt for a handful games which is very possible given his style you want a viable backup to be able to put you in position to win those games. Teams don’t acquire backup QBs to improve their chances of winning in the playoffs.
  10. No, nobody should turn down a first for Trubisky if that offer were to come even though it’s never going to happen. It’d be insane not to and I get the desire to have a good backup but at the end of the day Josh is what makes this team a Super Bowl contender. If he gets hurt and can’t play your chances disappear.
  11. Yes but it won’t happen and it’d be a significantly diminished role to close out his career.
  12. I’d believe this if the league ever did anything to highlight and promote its stars.
  13. Looking at Vezina Finalists: Fleury played 71 games in his age 20 and 21 seasons. He was garbage - posting a sub-.900 save percentage and well over 3.00 GAA. His age 22 season he barely improved, posting a .906 save percentage and just under 3.00 GAA. Didn't seem to ruin him. Vasilevskiy played 40 games before he turned 22 and played pretty well - over a .910 save percentage and like 2.50 GAA. Grubauer, meanwhile, played just two NHL games before turning 22 and and then just 17 games in his age 22 season and 1 in his age 23 season. Development is very different for goalies across the board. A lot of it depends on draft status, what league you're coming from/adjusting to and what players are "in your way" on the depth chart.
  14. Houston seems like it's been waiting for a relocation for some time now so I could see it ... I'd love to see a team in Milwaukee, honestly.
  15. Darryl Johnson is currently on the roster and wears 92 if that’s who you’re thinking of.
  16. The state of the team is not very good. They were terrible last year and have a strained relationship with one of their best players who they JUST acquired (Laine) and got rid of one of their other top players (Jones).
  17. To each their own but on a whole I’d imagine Columbus is well into the bottom 10 of NHL cities players would want to go to. They’ve swung big on players many times just to see them want out within two years.
  18. It is literally months too late for that.
  19. That’s not a leak. That’s a direct quote from a spokesperson.
  20. Yup. Considering the Pegulas have officially and publicly threatened to move the Bills over money we know they’re not going to give this cash up.
  21. This is weird ... you copied and pasted a tweet that like a dozen people on Twitter have also copied and pasted.
  22. That's now how this works and Phil would have an Oscar Meyer logo if anything.
  23. Well of course he does if he just arrived in Hockey H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks. Well of course he does if he just arrived in Hockey H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks.
  24. Now THIS I agree is a travesty. I didn’t get to catch many MSG streams this year but there was a game where Mittelstadt scored and the screen shrunk right as he took his shot so a lot of people, myself included, lost track of play and got confused. Yea, this isn’t going to happen. It’ll be one or two small patches at most. I don’t see it ever becoming more unless the league suddenly has a financial collapse. It’s not going to be anything like MLS. Sponsor-dominant jerseys is a soccer and European hockey exclusive thing. There is nothing to worry about.
