  1. Since all the speculation that actually comes out gets its own thread we should just close this one.
  2. Firsts in the 2022 draft are worth a lot and the Canes have lost some serious talent (top defender and all their goalies) so they could definitely take a big step back. If KK flatlines you can’t give him his QO next year because he simply wouldn’t be anywhere near worth it so you’d be left with nothing.
  3. I like Baker but he’s probably two tiers below Allen.
  4. This is a dumb narrative and you should feel bad for trying to make it a thing.
  5. I’m not giving credit to anyone on either side of this until a deal is done. Even then what comes next will be even more important. I don’t understand the rush to credit Adams for doing literally nothing, especially when we have no way of knowing what (if any) offers have been made.
  6. If I’m the Habs there’s no ***** way I’m matching that offer. It’s funny and cute from the Hurricanes … but it’s also woefully stupid. I’m not high on KK, at all. This guy lays out the reasons pretty well:
  7. After that they failed to beat Chad Henne who looked like he was trying to hand them the game.
  8. I am very sure. 1,000 more yards, 11 more passing TDs, 7% higher completion %, 250 more rushing yards, 7 more rushing TDs (18 more total). It’s not close.
  9. I think they’re a pretty definitive step behind if both teams are healthy. There is a sizable gap between Mayfield and Allen.
  10. I think the likely truth is that this is one of the only things Jack can actually do to change the direction of this process. I don’t believe any of the sides involved are happy about the situation. He can change agents and hope new messaging gets this moving in the direction he wants.
  11. You’re tricking yourself if you think this isn’t a speculation thread. I guess at least it’s based on something that is allegedly happening.
  12. We finally get something to actually speculate on in the Eichel thread and it ends up being its own thread. 🤦
  13. When Peter Fish responded to texts from producers at local news stations I knew that guy wasn’t good enough at his job.
  14. I’d guess the chances of this are incredibly low and if it were the case Jack would be gone either already or within a few days.
  15. Anyone with half a brain views the Bills as a contender. Is your entire purpose just to troll on this board? You bring nothing to the table.
  16. Samson said publicly after the trade he was never resigning in Buffalo. That one is sealed. Risto reportedly demanded a trade last offseason, no? We know what Jack is doing. In my view, all three demanded out in their own way. Jack’s agents have done as much publicly now. Whether it was driven by them first learning the Sabres wanted to move on or not is the only question, to me.
  17. Because the Bears always had late first rounders when he was their starter … wait.
  18. This is an oversimplification of the situation. Only Bills fans would say they won’t trade their backup QB who has a 0% chance of staying longer than one year for a first purely because of two PRESEASON games.
  19. It’s a chicken or the egg situation but Samson, Jack and Risto all made it clear they wanted to be elsewhere.
  20. I haven’t really responded to you so I’m not sure what the initial part is about but I did miss a key word or two there. Teams always think they’ll be smarter than the cap but rookie deals will never not be important to good teams. We can live in a fantasyland where we think that’s not true but Beane is too smart to do that. There isn’t an executive in this league, regardless of where they are at, that would turn down a first round pick for their backup QB unless their backup is the planned future starter. Trubisky would be gone in a millisecond if it were ever offered. It won’t be. The idea that some have seen him look decent in two preseason games and have this mindset now shows we luckily have not lost the Billsyness of our fanbase despite being good for once. That’s called perseverance. I’m not advocating for trading Mitchell. I’m glad he’s here and I’m glad he will be here through the end of the season. I’m hoping he finds a starting job somewhere after this and points back to Buffalo as a turning point for his career because that’s a good credit to have as a staff. Heck, he might be Daboll’s starting QB wherever he ends up.
