  1. https://www.facebook.com/bryonurmayor/ Local politics need more attention here
  2. I think that looks like a pretty mediocre bottom six.
  3. This is mostly correct, but I believe it was revealed that the waivers actually WOULDN'T have applied here. Would've been insane if it did. Rule wasn't clear, at all, which is why so many (including me) believed he would've been subject to waivers.
  4. Most everything Vince does is fantastic. Prima Donna and the associated short film were great additions to his growing stardom. And he's a very intelligent guy. He commented on the woman who ranted on his video saying he doesn't believe she's racist or anything like that (many are accusing her of this) and just thinks she doesn't understand the context of the song: http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/10/vince-staples-chides-internet-for-response-to-christian-moms-norf-norf-rant-video/
  5. John Vogl @BuffNewsVogl "I think it will get done." - Dan Bylsma on Rasmus Ristolainen contract negotiations and defenseman signing by season opener.
  6. Karlos' girl tweeted that the meeting has been cancelled and they're waiting on it to be rescheduled.
  7. Ryan Talbot of Scout reporting Karlos Williams is expected to workout here tomorrow. Schefter reporting he's expected to re-sign.
  8. I think athletes getting familiar with political and social issues is becoming far more common. I think it's important. I wish it wasn't, but I believe it is because so many look to them for direction. If they can offer a well-informed position then it will encourage more involvement.
  9. Cocaine is a hell of a drug
  10. Kid has got to be special or no other choice, sure. McDavid and Eichel are special. They're not on Crosby's level yet (McDavid might get there), but Crosby was special. Landeskog was special. We've got special.
  11. I haven't started contributing to my 401k yet because I know nothing about it and haven't made the time to meet with somebody about it. Should I contribute if I don't plan on staying with the company long?

  13. You ... I like you.
  14. On your first point: I don't kiss and tell (just ask JJ) On your second: I disagree 1000000% that I can't disagree 1000000% and still be fine. And I'm fine that you think I can't. But really, my disagreement statement came moments after I read WC's default statement. Didn't want the myth that Eichel getting the C would be defaulting it.
  15. Really, I'll be fine either way. I think there's a good discussion on both O'Reilly and Eichel. I prefer Eichel but won't be mad if it's O'Reilly. Samson has been considered a leader at other levels, too. Those could be your three letters down the road. Good point there, Flagg.
  16. Disagree 1000000000%. I was on the O'Reilly train as captain for the longest time (like eight months), but I think Eichel is already nearing him in both ability and leadership qualities. He will surpass him in ability in no time and will match the leadership. I want the C on my best player if at all possible and it's easy here. He's the face of the franchise, the best player (within a year or two), exhibits leadership qualities and going to be here for a long time. It also probably wouldn't hurt in negotiations down the line if you showed the confidence in him to wear it. Eichel is our captain. Nobody is defaulting into captain, WC. How dare you insult Eichel's qualities like that.
  17. McDavid named captain of the Oilers https://twitter.com/EdmontonOilers/status/783736039609208832 This video gave me a few thoughts: This video was well done up until the unveil. It was obvious McDavid is the choice (tweet even says it), but it's too sudden Edmonton was brilliant to go back to that look (please follow suit, Buffalo) Please let the Sabres do something like this when they replace Gionta Our captain has to be Eichel. Best player who will be around for a long time. He's a leader.
  18. http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/donald-trump-is-tearing-the-nfl-apart/ Interesting read on the Trump's impact on NFL locker rooms. First few paragraphs touch on how Rex introducing Trump didn't sit well with some players here.
  19. Do we think Hillary will be giving Bernie a position of consequence should she win?
  20. I'll be the one stealing your wives (and husbands for the ladies attending). Jk but I'll venture a guess most people will know me once they see me. There's a very identifiable urge to punch me in the face.
  21. Of all the incredible things we've acquired as an organization the last several years you might be number one, MODO. Love the passion. I'll keep an eye out on the kiddo.
  22. I can't be the only one who hears a difference in his voice this season. He looks more solid and his voice is a little more stern and confident. It's so damn exciting to think about how much room for growth a kid who just put up 60 points as a rookie has.
  23. Jimenez was literally never good. Two decent years and for some reason teams keep signing him and letting him pitch.
  24. Can we go back to calling him Samson? I think he's earned to be called what he wants. :)
  25. Maybe instead of body cams for officers we should require all drivers wear a GoPro on their head. Or black men sitting on their mother's porch. I kid. I see your point and agree. Especially the last two words.
