  1. The team should seriously bring in Robbie Gould and replace Carpenter.
  2. If this were the case it'd be irrelevant who the democrats favored for the nomination because Trump would never have a shot in the Democratic Party. His entire platform would've failed miserably. There was no strategist that could've gotten Trump to the top. But Trump been gunning for the Republican nomination for years. Always keeping himself in striking range if he wanted to take it. It's embarrassing that the party let him do it.
  3. I think we're going to need to do some actual research instead of assuming. Different leagues have different rules obviously, but the NBA counts unsigned restricted free agents both against the roster limit and cap (using the qualifying offer). I've never thought about it or looked into it in the NHL. Have any local journalists posted or tweeted about it?
  4. That's excessive praise of Pulkinnen, but I have stated my support for claiming him. Issue is he probably doesn't get to us in the waiver order.
  5. I believe he does indeed count against the roster limit as they retain his rights.
  6. Banned. :p But really, the poster had 16 posts or something and that was one of them. It was total trash. There's a place for dark humor, but this isn't it. Whatever. Who gives a . We're all going to be dead in the next 80 years.
  7. It's bannable whether it was serious or an attempt at humor. Bye.
  8. Problem is that testosterone isn't the 100% cause for all athletic and physical prowess... it's not the only difference between men and women, athletic and unathletic, physically dominant and physically capable.
  9. I actually had mostly bad thoughts after episode one. Thought "okay, why the hell do I care about any of this?" but episode two helped answer that question.
  10. Anybody watching Westworld on HBO? Not 100% through two episodes but it's decidedly unique and at least interesting.
  11. The Crosby news is alarming. Team apparently thought he was just sick when he came to practice that day. I hope this isn't the tipping point at the end of his career.
  12. Teemu Pulkkinen intrigues me greatly, but I don't think he gets to eight in the waiver order. Parenteau also intrigues me. I don't think we end up with either, though. And that's fine. Also: Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with another concussion.
  13. I believe he was THE youngest player in the draft and was only eligible by a few days. It'll be interesting to see how Murray plays it with him. It might not be smart to risk letting him get through a fourth year because he could blow up and then you've got a Vesey situation. GMs generally get their college guys done after their junior season (Hurley's a junior now) if they have a shot at being a pro. I would try to get him done now and then have him in camps and Rochester for two years.
  14. Notre Dame prospects Hurley and Petersen off to strong starts http://bufsabres.co/RwCxYV Maybe Hurley finally gets it? I've been holding out hope for him. We'll see.
  15. I'd rather have Parenteau in the lineup than Moulson or Grant. Also: Winnipeg put goalie Ondrej Pavelec on waivers. LA waives Scuderi.
  16. Snaps for Josie, good post
  17. I know. :p Looking at your proposal leads me to two questions: - are you prepared to have both Edmonton and Winnipeg say no? Because they will. - how are you paying Risto, Trouba and Bogo, especially all on the right side? I'd probably be more inclined to trade for Fowler and keep him than give up extra top assets to ship him to Winnipeg for Trouba, for the record.
  18. Last night made me even more confident that Hillary is a good candidate for president of the United States.
  19. The next two games are must win for the playoff hopes. I can see 9-7 but only if they win the next two.
  20. Yes. If they don't get second contracts here he whiffed. No. EJ was Nix and Whaley. Whaley was the assistant GM who was already set to take over. It's been said he approved of the deal as much as Nix by Whaley himself. Whaley is as inconsistent as they come, but he really does have some big hits.
  21. FLASHBACK: Trump called Bill Clinton "terrific," his accusers "terrible" and "unattractive" http://abcn.ws/2dYso6phttps://twitter.com/ABC/status/785275404340822016/photo/1
  22. I'm not ready to say he's 0-4. Sammy's situation doesn't look good, and I don't see him justifying the trade or the high selection. Still some time there. Lawson is certainly no sure case.
  23. On Rivers: he did in 2015. And he really struggled with signing it. I could see him not wanting to be part of a rebuild this late in his career. He's an emotional guy, and he's also a very "blue-collar" type that might fit here perfectly. Not holding my breath. Just a thought. And I was there last time we won three in a row. Capped it off with a huge comeback win against the Pats at home (started out down 21-0). I'll be there on October 30th when the Bills play the Pats.
  24. Not at opening kickoff. Underdogs all week ended up being favored before game start.
  25. I've seen a pretty big difference in the blocking. Also: maybe Phillip Rivers will demand a trade.
