  1. Can’t win ‘em all
  2. I expected a solid run to fall just short of the playoffs and that’s still my expectation.
  3. That’s a dumb play from Bogo
  4. Sheary has been particularly bad this game
  5. Tage should play all five positions on the power play.
  6. Something needs to happen to set *****. Wait, J@ck 0ff is edited out? This was an innocent post, too. ?
  7. Dunleavy moment there - never said who the too many men was against. Needed the replay to find out.
  8. Eklund is a fraud but just because there are contract talks doesn’t mean a deal happens.
  9. Yea that’s what LeBrun tweeted this morning. He says “we’ll see where it goes.”
  10. Naw that’s made up
  11. Bob sees the deal being either around 3 x $5M or 6 x high $6M/low $7M
  12. McKenzie says lots of Nylander buzz but doesn’t say if it’s a signing or trade. UPDATE: seems to think a signing is close but won’t outright say it.
  13. Yea, this has been a weird exchange above. Lyon hadn’t started a game all year. And no matter if the backups numbers are better they’re always a smaller sample size. No team prefers their backup unless that backup has become the actual starter.
  14. Her ring entry is off the charts. One of the best in the league.
  15. I mean they have a deal with NBC and I’m talking about what they need to make happen not just what they should do right this second.
  16. I mean it’s claimed in the way you’d expect the NHL to: terribly. I’m talking actually claim it and put out a great day of high quality product. Doesn’t have to be all teams playing but give four damn good matchups that are on national tv (in both countries).
  17. Telling someone what or how much they should or should not eat based on what you find attractive or your own personal experience is in no way “woke.” Anecdotal evidence doesn’t help either. I’ve seen people who are bald because of genetics and I’ve seen bald because they’re part of the skinhead movement. I don’t run up to random bald people and yell “stop being racist!”
  18. So football has Thanksgiving and basketball has Christmas. Hell, college football has New Years. So where does hockey come in? We all know the NHL is afraid to admit some teams are better than others (for some stupid ***** reason) but it’d be cool to see them take a holiday and set up elite matchups for the whole day. The league only favors big market teams because it has legitimately zero clue how modern sports fans consume content but boy would this help change that. So which holiday? And what are four matchups you would’ve set up this year? (Only include the Sabres if you have a legitimate reason). Answering my own question here but it’d be tough to claim a holiday because it’d probably be received poorly if you did a military holiday. But I’m mostly interested in matchups. I would’ve gone: noon - Pittsburgh at Washington (outdoors) 3:30 - Toronto at Winnipeg 7 - Tampa Bay at Nashville (outdoors) 10 - Edmonton at San Jose
  19. I wish it was this good. Skinner thanking Eichel was just Eichel scoring alone and not an easy dish to Skinner. Hutton save wasn’t a Bogo mistake either. Could’ve been funny. Was lazy instead. ***** I missed the montage in the first intermission getting beer. As a young person I thought DJ Milk was incredibly annoying and shouldn’t have a mic. Just play music. I thought even the kids seemed disinterested in him.
  20. Tage looked good and strong from the nosebleeds. Top heavy might be a good way to describe his skating, though. Needs to get a little more consistent on his feet.
  21. Mike Posner came to my college my freshman year. He was a rapper then. He got caught having sex with a freshly-legal townie in the locker room.
  22. My lord there’s some serious learning needed for some people here. What kind of comment is this? That woman is incredibly fit.
  23. This was fun. A few observations from the nosebleeds: - Rasmus Dahlin is as smooth as any player on the team with and without the puck. There was a few times I thought he made the wrong decision but it turns out he is just smarter than me in those spots (and the Philly players he fooled). - ERod had a monster game. He had an impact nearly every shift and finally produced. Glad to see it from him. Remember when he was just a guy we brought in because he played with Jack in college? - Jack is still the best player on the ice at almost all times. So strong. Incredibly slick. Wish he got the empty netter. - Hutton is so in control of his movement. He won’t often make those unbelievable saves because he never lets himself get out of position for those to happen. - Sobotka is VERY good. I wasn’t expecting it but it was very clear watching up high that he’s an important piece for this team. There were several times where a handful of us were expressing some nerves and he just took a moment and calmed everything down. He’s Carter Hutton as a forward. Calm and in position. He might score as much as Carter Hutton but there’s a lot of value in his game. Steady. - McCabe had a monster game. He was feisty and absolutely doesn’t care who hates him. Aggressive. He became a man when we all kind of forgot about him. Pominville gushed about him, noting his injuries last year were things people didn’t notice but having him healthy is huge for the team. - Larry has some offense in him. He just needs to apply himself more consistently and learn how to handle a hard pass. Reinhart had a similar game to Sobotka in the way he was constantly making the play you didn’t know you needed when you needed it the most. You definitely feel there’s more there for him to get to but happy with where he’s at. - Mittelstadt is FAST but always just a LITTLE bit away from making several big plays. He might explode. - Skinner is all over the place. He does more when his team has the puck than I expected. They talk about moving without the ball in basketball a lot but he’s mastered moving without the puck. If you puck watch too much he’s going to kill you. - Bogo has the yips. I found myself covering my eyes whenever he had the puck with pressure on him in his own zone. Something in his head right now. - Beaulieu had a bad night. Didn’t really do anything positive and had several notable bad moments.
