I don’t think NJ will pull the plug anytime soon. I don’t think Anaheim has as much appeal at St. Louis. Neither does Florida, especially with Trochek’s injury. Also, Ennis’ goal from tonight was great. It’s a goal that if Matthews or Marner scored Leafs Twitter would talk about it for weeks.

Trying to think of a job more appealing than St. Louis. Edmonton with McDavid is the only one that jumps in my head but I’m not sure that’s more appealing location and overall talent wise. The Kings don’t have the roster appeal but it is LA. No way Pittsburgh fires Sullivan.

hate that play by Eichel at the end to just lazily toss it into a crowd. Rotate it to the defenseman for an open look late. Takes more time off the clock and gives you a better scoring chance.

I think he's just not good offensively so it's more not having a clue what to do.

I'm fine with d getting in down low. Good teams and good offensive defensemen do it consistently. I legit complained about Casey the moment before that goal. Okposo made a good play to leave it for him and he had DeSmith leaning the wrong way but flubbed the puck just before that.

Punchable face isn’t always related to actions, though. I think Skinner’s face is fine but he is certainly an agitator. Larsson keeps putting himself in great position and making nice plays but it’s so frustrating to see him squander good rushes and passes because he can’t handle a pass that isn’t a softee on his stick.

On the breakaway it was a bad pass to Dahlin but he’s got to know not to dive there. Like an outfielder diving when the ball is out of reach you’re just hurting yourself more than helping. Have to get up and chase. On the other odd man rush it took him a little too long to get back and cover Kessel on the weak side once Malkin cleared the middle of the ice and his effort in doing so wasn’t great.

Not in love with that play from Dahlin there. Nor was I excited about his play on the Grant breakaway.
