I want to separate from team history. That’ll come with time. This core is winning a cup. Maybe ten.

Tampa hit the post several times on plays they simply beat us. This could’ve easily been a 7-2 game. We got some good bounces on goals which was huge. Also, yes - Skinner was downright bad. Dahlin and Hutton I can see debate but both made some bad plays.

A rough game for a lot of the usual studs. Hutton, Skinner and Dahlin were all downright bad. But I still feel ***** excited about this team. Tomorrow I think they come out hot and run the Panthers out of the building.

That game was so annoying. Love a good, high-scoring game but this wasn’t that. Ugly goals and just overall ugly hockey. A game we deserved to get blown out but easily could’ve won. Gut check time with the streak over.

This is the one mountain Housley hasn’t gotten over yet. If the power play was mediocre we’d have won the last ten games. Er, I mean we’d have won the last 20.

Thompson needs to shoot. Doing just a little too much so often. You’ve got a ridiculous shot. Use it. Force rebounds.

Might explain why he’s been out of position a few times

He was not in a great position on the Kucherov shot. Hard to make a stop on a three on one but he left a massive opening over his shoulder. I’ll put that one 25% on him. The second goal was 90% him. He was way out of position and gave up a rebound directly out front with an open net. He’s had a few scrambles where he could’ve done a better job deflecting to the corner or controlling the puck.

I hate this game. Hutton is booty tonight.

This is looking like a back to reality moment. Yikes.

While I’m still pessimistic it is worth noting that the east’s top teams and the teams on the bubble quickly separated recently. There was a point not too long ago where everyone was jumbled and a two/three game stretch could’ve flipped everything but now it’ll take a couple weeks to fall out from the top. There are ups and downs ahead, but I hope the small cushion created recently is enough to build confidence for a ride to the playoffs even if it’s as the last team in.
