I’ve seen too many young stud dmen in the league leading their teams to believe this.
-
It’s mostly just exhausting seeing Bills fans complain about him constantly when they should be celebrating him being around. He has flaws and needs to continue improving but he gets better every year when he’s healthy and there’s no reason to believe he won’t be a starting-caliber linebacker with All-Pro potential for us for at least another ten years.

I’d kiss you but I don’t have your address. Remind me again?

I know. Point still stands. And several of those plays from that game were actually good plays that the creator of the video either threw in knowing the average eye would fail to see or they failed to see themselves.

Gotchu I was confused by the flow going into that sentence after. I think this one is as simple as we all think it is: Boudreau or Gallant. I’d swing for the fences and call Brind’Amour if he doesn’t get extended first but that won’t happen.

I’m confused on which interim label you’re talking about here because Adams doesn’t have one (which is insane).

In the middle of his shoulder injury when it was probably impossible for him to get leverage. I also saw multiple plays where he did exactly what he needs to do mixed in there just to make the video longer. A few where he met the running back in the hole but the hole was so big because the dline got tossed out of the way. It reminds me of when people were pissed he missed a tackle on Cam Newton, probably the hardest QB to bring down in NFL history, in the open field. You want him making those plays but it doesn’t get harder than that. If you put together a highlight reel of Josh Allen’s worst plays and watched it over and over you’d want him out of Buffalo, too.

And has a great hockey name!?

Note on Sam: while he's pacing for his highest goal total (by far), he's not pacing his highest point total. He's pacing out at 38-23-61. Highest point total was two seasons ago (22-43-65). Make of that what you will.

Let’s be better than insulting Ryan, his wife and their marriage. A tribute I hadn’t caught:

I'm not sure that either of those offers have ever been made.

The answer is it’s Sabrespace and as much love/respect I have for you all I don’t have enough energy to spend checking wtf I’m typing. Half of what I’ve said is probably not what I actually mean.

I never know what a poster means when they say “My understanding was ...” because none of us have sources. Did you read that somewhere that you can link to? I’ve heard the report that he has indicated some displeasure with his situation in Buffalo on numerous occasions so I tend to think there’s probably something to it.

Good call on NJ. I’ll remove them. Math is hard (jk it’s always been a strength of mine I’m just lazy).

I disagree but you’re right.

Evolving Wild Contract Projections for the 2021 Offseason
Hoss replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
With his injury I don’t expect any real competition for McCabe’s services and I imagine getting him back in the fold will come cheap if they want it. -
I am also very anti-trade down. I’d have a conversation with Seattle about going from one to three in exchange for them taking Okposo in the expansion draft but that’s not going to happen. Maybe if we landed a first next year to go back a few slots but that’s also not happening. Just take the guy you want the most and move on.

Evolving Wild Contract Projections for the 2021 Offseason

Ah, I misread what you said so point taken. My apologies. I am still not handing out long-term deals for guys based on very small sample size. What’s your proposed deal for Casey? -
Trading Chris Gratton, Rhett Warrener or Stephane Beauregard is not what made us better in a meaningful way.

Simmonds never signed a multi-year contract worth more than $4M and Couturier is nearing the end of a six-year deal that paid him $4.3M per so I don’t understand the comparisons there. I think Philly is very happy with how both situations have gone. I’m not going to get into the business of signing contracts based on an 18 game sample size. That’s how you end up with bad contracts. I’d rather sign a guy to a long-term deal if he puts up something like 40-23-63 over a full season on the roster. ... Jeff Skinner joke aside there’s not enough of a sample size for me to want to give Mittelstadt a long-term deal unless it’s dirt cheap to do so and the player will not agree to that. -
Current longest playoff droughts of teams in the NBA, NHL, MLB & NFL
Hoss replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Aud Club
The Kings and Mariners both feel very far away from snapping their steaks. The Mariners started their season strong but have come back down to earth. -
Hard to find comparables because most defensemen of his type end up with long-term deals.

If he reaches #1 potential you’re paying him $12M+ but this proposed deal is not that. There is no “Reinhart situation.” He isn’t going to get THAT much more now than he would’ve before. And Mittelstadt hasn’t shown anywhere near what Reinhart had.
