  1. I am aware on how to navigate to the NHL stats page. Point production alone isn’t going to put a guy in the top 10 for me so Marner isn’t there either.
  2. No chance Kaprizov is in the conversation yet. Nor Eriksson Ek or Hintz. Hedman is still top 10 in this “down year.” Huberdeau isn’t quite in the conversation but he’s an under appreciated guy. Same with Aho.
  3. Sitting here thinking about how impressive it is that Connor McDavid is approaching 100 points in the shortened season (he's at 96 points with four games remaining) ... I got to thinking about who is in that next wave of players after him. Who is in YOUR top 10? Should I make this a poll? My crack at it: 1. Connor McDavid 2. Nathan MacKinnon 3. Sidney Crosby 4. Nikita Kucherov 5. Leon Draisaitl 6. Aleksander Barkov 7. Artemi Panarin 8. Victor Hedman 9. Auston Matthews 10. Mark Stone Guys I left JUST off the list: Vasilevskiy, Ovechkin, Kane, Marchand, Rantanen. Defensively I don't think there are a ton of pillars right now. A lot of younger guys who I'll need to see another year or two of prowess before I bump them up. This exercise also made me realize I'm not sure if Jack Eichel is in the top 20 ... or maybe even top 25.
  4. I think he just wasn't prepared to talk about it. While it was less than ideal I think his only real mistake was continuing to talk about it instead of just giving a basic response then deflecting. As someone who wants to kick anti-vaxxers in the shins I didn't have much of an issue with it. In a perfect world he already has his shot(s) and is convincing teammates to do the same. Jordan Poyer was in my DMs spitting anti-vax conspiracy theories about a month ago so that was some adventure. Hopefully a mic never gets in front of him on the subject.
  5. Ah, this is why watching the tournament might have helped me know that Beniers wasn't in it lol. But I'd still like to hear more about Guenther because there seems to be pretty universal disappointment in his role there (not just on this board) despite producing at a decent clip. Apologies for making a mistake and hurting your feelings so badly, Liger. It won't happen again.
  6. I did not watch a second of the tournament but see that he had 4-3-7 in 7 games. Seems like he was putting up points. Meanwhile Beniers put up 1-2-3 in 7 but is the darling in these parts. I’d like to hear more.
  7. Indeed. Chicago strongly considered dealing him at the deadline. I still kind of root for him but he’s nothing to write home about.
  8. I’ve seen that Eklund is one of the more likely immediate players but idk the class well enough to really say. It sounds like there isn’t much expectation for this class to play right away. Which sucks because ideally if you draft at one or two that player is in your lineup on day one.
  9. Well, sorry ‘bout it.
  10. No, trading down from the top of the draft is stupid. I’d only consider trading it out entirely for a young player.
  11. If you took nine losses by any team and turned them into wins they'd be in much better shape.
  12. I don't agree that we'd be just out of the playoffs. This team is still really bad, let's not get it twisted. Maybe not last-place bad if fully healthy but not a lot of teams are fully healthy.
  13. Not exactly - it’s mostly because they’ve played 7/8 fewer games than anyone else.
  14. I went with a very optimistic pick of 22-26.
  15. Blow Hard for Bedard works for me. If we get to the last 20 or so games and are a bottom feeder with no shot at the playoffs I'll absolutely hop on board with a "tank" but prior to that point no way.
  16. Vancouver is gone because they already clinched the tiebreaker over us. The Sabres CAN pass Anaheim - they don't have the Regulation Wins tiebreaker clinched over us yet (both teams have 11).
  17. It’s the second tiebreaker now - that’s a recent change.
  18. Idk what PTR is but they haven’t. They can still beat the tiebreaker. Also there’s already an entire thread dedicated to this.
  19. The first tiebreaker is "Regulation Wins" now. Both Anaheim and Buffalo have 11. Buffalo needs two regulation wins and Anaheim needs two regulation losses to pass them. See above.
  20. Indeed. On the brink officially now. A point for the Ducks or a point lost for the Sabres caps it off.
  21. He left as a free agent as many players do. By all accounts he had interest in returning and the team failed to get it done.
  22. It did. He didn’t screw us. You’ve got a lot of anger in your posts and very specific contempt.
  23. Hoss

    Housermania!

No. He's not in the mix.
  24. So maybe Tom Wilson got lucky that a helmetless player he dumps by pulling on his hair didn't end up with a major head injury - big win there.
  25. You sure about ... any of that?
