I thought Stamkos interfered with the goalies ability to make the save by bumping into him after the puck hit him... A little surprised that counted and it wasn't waved off for goalie interference

Bandits need to go back to playing their run and gun game...
-
Going to a game 3 back home...gonna need a much better offensive performance if they want to win.
-
Bandits choking bad this game...down 11-8...Colorado with 5 straight goals...3 of them were boneheaded defensive lapses leaving guys wide open
-
Let's go Bandits!! Watching on ESPN U... Up 6-4 at the half...were down 2-0 early in the 2nd quarter and then went on a run. Colorado scored with like 1.5 seconds left to make it 6-4. 30 minutes to bring it home!

Official Sabres to Retire Ryan Miller’s Number on January 19, 2023
matter2003 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
If that was a personal attack, I am the President of the United States. I'm not the President of the United States. Maybe they just wanted to get a look at his smoke show wife up close and in person?? -
Report Vegas Golden Knights Have Hired Bruce Cassidy as Head Coach
matter2003 replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
Oh don't get me wrong...if I ever saw him walking down the street, I would walk over and pinch him in the face no hesitation... But you know damn well you'd love him if he was on our team. -
Do not think I have ever seen an Indian play by play announcer...good on ya NHL. Just please don't say "Thank you...come again!"

Report Vegas Golden Knights Have Hired Bruce Cassidy as Head Coach

When you get to that level as a team, even making the playoffs every year and going to the Stanley Cup Finals isn't good enough. That's where we need to strive to be at. I highly doubt Boston is going to have much dropoff, they simply have too much talent there. Age might end up doing them in more than coaching tho...a lot of their key players are starting to get up there in years. Bergeron will be 37 before the start of next season and Marchand is 34. Marchand's contract might be one of the best deals in sports...signed an 8 year 49 million dollar contract in 2016 with a cap hit of $6.125 million that he has hugely outplayed...Lowest point total was 69. 4 seasons between 80-87 points and 1 year with 100 points. Never scored under 28 goals either during that time. -
Another crazy finish to a playoff game...3rd one in a row...3rd 1 goal win by the Bandits. One more 1 goal win to close this 'ship out? If there is a game 3 in Buffalo, I am definitely going to it.

Played for 25+ years, enjoy watching it when I come across it but won't go out of my way to see it...unless it's the World Cup, then I am watching everything. Or Ted Lasso.

Pretty surprised by the Rangers up 2-0. Not surprised at all by the Avs up 2-0. Not much your goalie can do when you score 0 goals.
-
That almost has to be an outlier for him...he has been in the NHL for 9 seasons prior and never scored more than 28 goals. It is hard to believe that a player is just going to almost double their goal total and for it to be sustainable over upcoming seasons, especially as he starts getting further into his 30s. Likely just had the best season of his career and will fall back towards his mean the following seasons.

(Completely OT): Any experience with Facebook Marketplace or Craiglist?
matter2003 replied to Eleven's topic in The Aud Club
I've used Craigslist a lot back in the day and my wife uses Facebook Marketplace fairly regularly. I think FB Marketplace gets you higher quality buyers if you are selling something. Just make sure to go higher than what you are willing to sell it for because they will try to negotiate you down. I've had good luck in the past pricing it $50 higher than what I wanted and then "settling" for $50 less, which was what I wanted to get for it anyway. Just always make sure it's cash...no check or money order. -
Did not see that ass whooping by the Rags coming tonight... Still think TB wins in no more than 6

2022 NHL Draft Combine: May 30th-June 4th, Buffalo NY

Buffalo back to being center stage for the pre draft activities. -
And the Sabres just T-rolled them last year

Avs and Oilers is gonna be such a fun series to watch if you like offensive hockey and lots of scoring. Game 1 certainly didn't disappoint with 13 goals prior to the empty netter. Kinda reminded me of the Sabres-Senators game 1 where we won in OT on Drury's goal.
-
Love that scoring that has not really dropped much from the regular season... Think both series could be over in 5 or less with TB and Colorado facing off in the finals. At worst I think they go 6. Don't see a viable path for either the Rangers or Edmonton to make it to the Finals unless something crazy happens like Vasilevsky goes down for multiple games or Mike Smith suddenly starts stealing games for Edmonton.

Yeah it is pretty crazy how that works...rookies only make $9200 a year, regular players can make up to $27K a year and one franchise player can make $34K a year. Some of the players also play in the MLL(outdoor lacrosse) and can make an additional $10-27K. However, Paul Rabil of the Philadelphia Warriors(NLL) and Boston Cannons(MLL) has leveraged some friendships and done some networking to build a pretty sizable endorsement empire with companies such as Red Bull, New Balance, Polk Audio, and others making him the first million dollar man in lacrosse. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1588296-paul-rabil-becomes-lacrosses-first-million-dollar-man Most of them have full time jobs tho. https://www.nll.com/news/many-nll-players-hold-multiple-jobs-an-inside-look/ Dhane Smith apparently is not one of them, as he has a net worth between 1.5-5 million and is one of the richest lacrosse players.

It's because they play once a week like the NFL
