  1. I hope not...Anderson had some of the worst metrics in the NHL last year....he was 53rd out of 74 goalies with a minimum of 10 games played in terms of goals saved above expected per 60 minutes at -0.28 goals. In other words, Anderson costs the Sabres an extra goal basically every 4 games he plays versus what he should allow. Comrie on the other hand ranked 2nd in the NHL to only Shesterkin of the Rangers, with a goals saved above expected per 60 minutes of 0.603, meaning every 5 periods, he saves an extra goal for your team that normally would be expected to have scored. In other words, there is a -0.883 per 60 minutes differential between Anderson and Comrie which should make it very clear who the goalie should be for this team. UPL only played in 9 games, but he ranked 37th, not great but clearly better than Anderson at -0.048, which is almost neutral. UPL's major issue is rebound control which he is among the worst in the NHL at coming in at 4th worst in the NHL out of 76 qualifiers with at least 9 games played. He actually had the lowest expected rebounds per save last year in the NHL, but gave up the 24th most rebounds per save.
  2. Interesting there are people who with their bold predictions think the Red Wings or Senators will make the playoffs, two teams that finished lower than the Sabres in the standings(granted only by 1 and 2 points), but none say the Sabres. I don't see either of those teams being better than us this year. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/bold-predictions-awards-and-stanley-cup-picks-for-the-2022-23-nhl-season-134706116.html
  3. Maybe she is making so much at OnlyFans she has no time for this anymore? Why would non-hockey families care?
  4. Did Granato let his team know they were playing tonight?
  5. Doesn't need to be near the top of the league...it was among the worst in the NHL last year. Even getting to league average would make a huge difference.
  6. I recognize like 1 player on their team, so yeah I guess it's their AHL team haha
  7. Sabres aren't playing games tonight. They decided to bury the Hurricanes
  8. The Sabres are interesting because I heard I believe from Paul Hamilton on WGR that they basically get all the people in the room together whwn they are discussing players for the draft or how they are developing, etc that include the scouts and analytics people and go over all the players and let everyone give their opinion on them, then if there are significant differences between what the scouts are saying versus what the analytic people are saying they dive into it to try and figure out why and get to the bottom of it. He basically said they are very thorough with their evaluations, it's a total team effort where everyone's opinion matters and they don't rely on either side completely but take in all the information and are interested in learning about where there are differences so they can look to tweak their analytics to improve them. Also said there are no egos in there and nobody rolls their eyes when the analytics guys talk, they value what they have to say even if they don't agree with it all the time.
  9. Kozak telling opponents to get the Bozak This team is going to be a lot better than most pundits think. Probably not playoff good but I think somewhere in the 87-90 point range.
  10. His rebound control is always poor...one of the biggest reasons he is not permanently in the NHL yet. In fact, by advanced metrics, his rebounds above expected was 70th out of 73 goalies last year, so basically among the worst in the NHL at controlling rebounds.
  11. Wow...team is splurging...during a recession no less! Honestly tho, how the hell do you call a game from the studio?? That is so ghetto.
  12. No idea how the cap keeps increasing while many teams are hemorrhaging money
  13. Kozak with an unbelievable shot to score...that was a sniper's goal. Fucale you!
  14. The Bills can still beat the brakes off teams even with injuries because we have Allen who is basically a human cheat code at QB.
  15. I think Comrie is the clear number 1 as long as he continues his play from last year without too much drop off. Ideally maybe 50-60 games. Anderson as little as possible and hopefully UPL the majority of the games Comrie doesn't play.
  16. This team's pipeline is stocked full of talent and its not only the 1st round picks now...even late round picks like Rousek and Kozak are looking like they are going to be solid NHL players within a few years...something that was sorely lacking over the last decade. Basically if they weren't a first round pick, they weren't playing for us. Hard to build a solid team that way.
  17. I think we are a season away from the playoffs also...but I think we are in the upper 80s point wise this year...not in, but a major push forward.
  18. I don't understand how you watch them play at 103 point pace once Tuch, Krebs and the injured guys came back over the last two months of the year, we should have upgraded goaltending, now have Powers all year instead of the last 8 games, and are adding Quinn and possibly JPP to the lineup and see them barely better than last year...
  19. I think it's going to be significantly higher than that. With the new additions after the Eichel trade from March 1st on, they were averaging well over 3 goals a game, at 3.14 goals per game. Prior to that they were dreadful, averaging 2.61 goals per game, more than a half goal per game difference. That really didn't include Power as he only played 8 games and looked great for them as well. I think they are going to be somewhere in the 280-290 range. This team can score goals now and as they build chemistry and add more to the skill level with Quinn and likely JPP, I think they will become more of an offensive threat. This is the year the Sabres take a big step towards playoff contention IMO. I think they barely miss it but will be in the running up until maybe the last few weeks of the season.
  20. Way over. Somewhere in the upper 80 to low 90 range.

  22. Welcome to the Adams Administration!
  23. Good movie by the Sabres, his price was only going up next year if they waited most likely
