  1. Yeah I am not worried...they can't win every game, they will go on these long point runs a few more times this year. Hopefully it will be enough to get them in, if not they won't miss by much.
  2. Comrie rarely does. We are nowhere with this dude splitting time with UPL.
  3. They deserved better. Clearly the better team tonight. So many grade A chances they missed that they normally cash in. Somwtiems it happens. Battling the puck a little bit the last two games. Gotta figure out why they keep having these lackluster starts to the third period where they allow a goal in under two minutes so often. It's becoming a problem.
  4. It wasn't luck and they'll be fine. Take a step back from the ledge.
  5. Sabres playing better but still fighting the puck like last night...they would normally have 5-6 goals off of the chances they had tonight
  6. Here we go again...6-2 incoming. Seemingly cannot handle Seattle for whatever reason.
  7. Comrie strikes again...and the Sabres allow another goal within 2 minutes of the last period starting. This is becoming a big problem.
  8. This has been a good game...Sabres are very good defensively for the most part...no space given in our zone, sticks in passing lanes, trailers picked up, strong backchecking, etc... Two nice tips got us, but if they could play like this every night they would be almost impossible to beat combined with their offensive abilities. Pukked? Is that a new word?
  9. To be clear...it isn't the number of times, it's that all 3 games have basically been carbon copies of each other. Seattle forechecks the crap out of us, we turn the puck over, they score lots of goals.
  10. Because they have kicked our ass every time we played them and the games have not been competitive.
  11. I am sure they are going to be really pissed after that one...that is not the standard they set for themselves. That type of game won't fly anymore. Under Eichel they would pay some lip service, shrug their shoulders and go out and party at the clubs after a game like that. With this team they will be really pissed with themselves, go home and stew about it all night and come back tomorrow to make up for it. They are accountable to each other. Big difference.
  12. They didn't actually send him down...it was a "paper move" only for now. Anderson was getting this start with a back to back coming up. Basically it bought the Sabres some time so they didn't have to make an actual move until they had to make an actual move. That move likely isn't going to be UPL going back to Rochester, btw.
  13. Didn't get a chance to watch luckily but heard Paul Hamilton after the 2nd and he said they looked terrible in the first and it was probably their worst period of the year, a little better in the 2nd but have been actively preventing themselves from scoring goals tonight and making a dude who is making his 5th NHL start look like Hasek.
  14. Uh...not the start I was hoping for.
  15. Hmm...Bruins...Dolphins...Patriots...Hurricanes... in no particular order then probably Flyers
  16. That's all well and good but the Sabres have struggled mightily against them all three games. Sometimes a team just has your number.
  17. This dude better not f**k up a playoff push. Now is not the time for "giving a chance" to someone that sucked.
  18. Have played them 3 times and have gotten demolished 3 times by a combined 17-7, including 5-1 earlier this year. Not sure exactly why they have so much trouble with that team but they need a much better showing Tuesday if they want to win. Losses were by 3,3 and 4 goals so it's not like one bad outcome caused a huge spike.
  19. Toward the end of last season we saw the same type of hockey.
  20. Not thrilled with that...Comrie wasn't good when he played and allowed more questionable goals than UPL. Like legit WTF? goals. Goals that should never go in in an NHL game...and it was happening once or twice a game.
  21. I had to laugh at his "That was Dahl-icious!" On Dahlin's first goal last night
  22. They said he has really embraced the move between them and wants to be a good two player and has really worked on his defensive game...and it shows. That's part of what is so exciting about this team. They are already good but still have near endless room for growth.
  23. UPL starting to fade under a heavy workload the last couple games. Makes some great saves but also starting to allow more questionable goals again.
  24. I agree it's great they showed they can do it, but it's also great to not need to every time they go into the 3rd with a 2+ goal lead. UPL starting to fade under heavy usage
