  1. Hmm...Bruins...Dolphins...Patriots...Hurricanes... in no particular order then probably Flyers
  2. That's all well and good but the Sabres have struggled mightily against them all three games. Sometimes a team just has your number.
  3. This dude better not f**k up a playoff push. Now is not the time for "giving a chance" to someone that sucked.
  4. Have played them 3 times and have gotten demolished 3 times by a combined 17-7, including 5-1 earlier this year. Not sure exactly why they have so much trouble with that team but they need a much better showing Tuesday if they want to win. Losses were by 3,3 and 4 goals so it's not like one bad outcome caused a huge spike.
  5. Toward the end of last season we saw the same type of hockey.
  6. Not thrilled with that...Comrie wasn't good when he played and allowed more questionable goals than UPL. Like legit WTF? goals. Goals that should never go in in an NHL game...and it was happening once or twice a game.
  7. I had to laugh at his "That was Dahl-icious!" On Dahlin's first goal last night
  8. They said he has really embraced the move between them and wants to be a good two player and has really worked on his defensive game...and it shows. That's part of what is so exciting about this team. They are already good but still have near endless room for growth.
  9. UPL starting to fade under a heavy workload the last couple games. Makes some great saves but also starting to allow more questionable goals again.
  10. I agree it's great they showed they can do it, but it's also great to not need to every time they go into the 3rd with a 2+ goal lead. UPL starting to fade under heavy usage
  11. Sabres are on a tear and the best part about it is they are so offensively gifted they can simply outscore teams at times... Would like to see them a little better with leads heading into the 3rd but that type of stuff comes with experience. Bottom line is they are coming from behind at times to tie games and then win in OT, and they have also shown they can put teams away in regulation too.
  12. I just wish they wouldn't make it so hard on themselves to put games away. I just think eventually that tends to wear you down mentally and emotionally. But they are young and have a lot of jam so maybe they are more capable of weathering it than an older team of vets.
  13. Didn't get a chance to watch the game live but saw the updates and just watched the highlights...man that building was rocking. Looked like a super fun game to be a part of...I think both goalies will be wishing they had a few of those goals back last night...overall great effort to come back to tie and win in OT, but my lord, what is with them allowing goals in the first 2 minutes of the 3rd with 2+ goal leads?? Has happened a lot recently...
  14. Good Lord!! I am hurting just from thinking about it... And he finished the game that it happened in 😱😱 https://sports.yahoo.com/jets-blake-wheeler-ruptured-a-testicle-last-month-vs-predators-222806472.html Wheeler returns to the Jets lineup on Friday after missing three weeks with a ruptured testicle he sustained against the Predators last month.
  15. They also are the highest scoring team in the NHL even with some teams having 5 games in hand. What's the saying? "Drink whiskey out of boots"?
  16. So replace someone who is starting to play well with an unknown? No chance.
  17. Comrie has sucked. I'm sorry. No excuses for him. He has pretty much allowed 1-2 non-NHL goals in every game other than the first game this year. I was all about him getting his chance here after putting up great metrics last year in limited time, but he has been awful mostly. I don't care who the competition is, you can't allow weak goals from barely inside the blueline with absolutely nobody in front of you where you simply get beat cleanly. Sabres cannot afford to be put in a situation where they start losing games 7-6 or 6-5 or 5-4 again every night because he can't stop a beach ball from way out. And why the hate for Anderson? He has been the most consistently good goalie the Sabres have had this year REGARDLESS of who he was playing and backed by the metrics.
  18. Hey now...you're an all-star, get your game on, get paid!
  19. It's crazy to think but he has no clue what has transpired since he got up from making the tackle and then collapsed.
  20. The Sabres get it too...obviously Kevin Adams growing up here as the GM understands it better than anyone and I am sure that has been shared with the players and they seem to embrace it...
  21. Comrie was allowing bad goals...not legit goals...goals you were like...huh? Goals you'd be yelling at your goalie in a beer hockey league for letting go in, that shouldn't be a goal at the NHL level. Ever. So the Sabres are forced to score 6 goals a night every game if they want to have any hope of winning? No thanks...I was big supporter for him coming here, but he can stay in Rochester or get waived for all I care right now.
  22. Why? Anderson has been better than either of them. I damn sure don't want to go back to seeing Comrie allowing 1-2 softies leading to 5+ goals allowed night in and night out again.
  23. That time is coming. Maybe not this year, but next year it would be shocking if they aren't comfortably in the playoffs.
