  1. Just a dreadful giveaway by Dahlin
  2. Hello, hello! I don't know why you say goodbye, I say hello.
  3. Lyubushkin for sure. Dude would crosscheck his mother in front of the net.
  4. Yesterday heard on WGR that Paul Hamilton said Samuelsson didn't play the last 7:30 or so of the Kraken game but since they were off yesterday they had no media availability to find out about it. Sabres are 3-10 without him so hoping it is minor if he can't go tonight...
  5. Dahlin has increasingly become that The Sabres were good pretty quickly after being an expansion team
  6. You could literally say that about any team, expansion or otherwise. They also did a TON of backroom deals and took advantage of ALL of the special situations they got to take advantage of leaving no stone unturned to either get good players or draft picks for not taking players. It was an absolute masterclass of GM'ing for an expansion team.
  7. You mean except for Vegas that made the SC Finals their first year? And don't even try the "they got lucky" angle. I watched a LOT of their games that year and they were damn good.
  8. Not really. They are at minimum league average in that category. Just a lazy take based on the last 15 years and not the current lineup. And going back and looking not even then...it's been like 25 years since the Sabres fielded an average team under 6'1" and all of them were in the 200-206 lb weight average. NHL teams range from an average height of 6'2" to 6'0". The vast majority (like 25) average 6'1"...which is where the Sabres are at. Their average weight of 195lbs is a little lighter than average but a lot of that can be attributed into so many young players that need a few years to fill out into their bodies.
  9. Yeah I am not worried...they can't win every game, they will go on these long point runs a few more times this year. Hopefully it will be enough to get them in, if not they won't miss by much.
  10. Comrie rarely does. We are nowhere with this dude splitting time with UPL.
  11. They deserved better. Clearly the better team tonight. So many grade A chances they missed that they normally cash in. Somwtiems it happens. Battling the puck a little bit the last two games. Gotta figure out why they keep having these lackluster starts to the third period where they allow a goal in under two minutes so often. It's becoming a problem.
  12. It wasn't luck and they'll be fine. Take a step back from the ledge.
  13. Sabres playing better but still fighting the puck like last night...they would normally have 5-6 goals off of the chances they had tonight
  14. Here we go again...6-2 incoming. Seemingly cannot handle Seattle for whatever reason.
  15. Comrie strikes again...and the Sabres allow another goal within 2 minutes of the last period starting. This is becoming a big problem.
  16. This has been a good game...Sabres are very good defensively for the most part...no space given in our zone, sticks in passing lanes, trailers picked up, strong backchecking, etc... Two nice tips got us, but if they could play like this every night they would be almost impossible to beat combined with their offensive abilities. Pukked? Is that a new word?
  17. To be clear...it isn't the number of times, it's that all 3 games have basically been carbon copies of each other. Seattle forechecks the crap out of us, we turn the puck over, they score lots of goals.
  18. Because they have kicked our ass every time we played them and the games have not been competitive.
  19. I am sure they are going to be really pissed after that one...that is not the standard they set for themselves. That type of game won't fly anymore. Under Eichel they would pay some lip service, shrug their shoulders and go out and party at the clubs after a game like that. With this team they will be really pissed with themselves, go home and stew about it all night and come back tomorrow to make up for it. They are accountable to each other. Big difference.
  20. They didn't actually send him down...it was a "paper move" only for now. Anderson was getting this start with a back to back coming up. Basically it bought the Sabres some time so they didn't have to make an actual move until they had to make an actual move. That move likely isn't going to be UPL going back to Rochester, btw.
  21. Didn't get a chance to watch luckily but heard Paul Hamilton after the 2nd and he said they looked terrible in the first and it was probably their worst period of the year, a little better in the 2nd but have been actively preventing themselves from scoring goals tonight and making a dude who is making his 5th NHL start look like Hasek.
  22. Uh...not the start I was hoping for.
