All I can say is... We tanked for this?? Those teams played better than this...at least they tried.

Is it time to be looking into longest goal droughts in team history?

Hamilton has been saying this stuff from season one and the team has progressively gotten worse from season one even as they got rid of "work hard" guys who wwrent afraid to win pick battles and take whatever hit it took to do it For "good players". Now these guys act like they are afraid they will break a nail along the boards... And now we find ourselves right back where we were before the tank with 10 times better players. Hamilton is in the locker room...he travels with the team...he sees and hears so much more than just the on ice crapfest we have now...

They act like they are giving effort...they race to loose pucks, try and defend once the other team gets the puck but do literally nothing along rhe boards to win those pick battles...they turn away..they avoid going "all in" on the boards...They are only fooling themselves...no team can be around rhe pick that much along the boards and come away with it that little unless it's due to lack of effort. They lack situational effort...that is, they are happy to work hard at the easy stuff but not the hard, difficult, painful stuff

This team too often looks like it just doesn't care if it wins or loses

And why would we ever think Lehner would stop someone on a penalty shot/ shootout attempt? Other teams score at will against us and we struggle to score a single goal every game...SMFH at this joke of a team

Of course you have a better chance to lose than win no matter where you end up...except teams like the Oilers who win it 3 times within a 5 year period and don't seem to have to worry about it. And the math for any team finishing below the #1 team is lower than the #1 team. So somebody HAS to win it...

Good for him...ive been there myself...not that heavy but at 255 lbs I thoight I was having a heart attack several years ago and had elevated cardiac enzymes when they ran tests at the hospital... Over the next few years I got in tremendous shape and dropped 75 pounds...you have moments in your life when you just look in the mirror and dont like the person you've become and have to make a serious change. Good for him that he realized it and even better for sticking it through and doing it.

Yeah I know...ive been saying it for 18 years with the Bills and 7 going on 8 with the Sabres...next year never seems to come. Besides we will never get the #1 pick..some team that finishes 8th or 9th and had a singular bad year after 4 or 5 years of playoff appearences will get it

Another game another offensive performance where the team acts like its allergic to scoring goals. For Christ's sake its not the coaches its these bums on this team...sick of watching them and hearing their lame ass excuses every night...JBots needs to start moving players..its never going to change with this group. Meanwhile a team of mostly castoffs and never has beens that hasnt ever played with each other before a few months ago is well ahead of them in the standings and leading their division(Las Vegas)...they should be ashamed of themselves

This team is a relative dumpster fire and the move you make is waiving Griffith?? Guess Botterill and Housley are just tossing in the towel and trying to get the unexpected #1 pick again...

Played their best game of the year coming out of that team meeting...now if they simply connect the dots and realize playing like that every night will put them into position to win a lot more games we will be good...

PP is not going to come alive, he basically took the #1 powerplay last year and changed how they fundamentally operate, which is retarded. As a new coach you don't force your system in places where the status quo is giving surperior results, you integrate with it. Their piss poor new style PP has cost them a lot of games this year in and of itself whether that is through giving up short handed goals or not scoring themsevles.

Oh well. Take their marshmallow soft mindset and leave then. Not like they are doing anything as it is.

How would you lose the room by rewarding players who play well and calling out players who play poorly? By the players themselves. If these players are that mentally weak then they need to be elsewhere.

I'm at a loss for what the issue is on this team but if I were the coach I would try the following. After every win the players vote on the top 3 players of the game and after every loss, the bottom 3 players of the game. Not a secret vote...they have to do it out loud in front of the dressing room. No hiding or secret agendas here. It would force them to hold each other accountable...nobody is going to want to constantly get called out in front of the team. The top 3 get the next practice off after a win. After a loss, the bottom 3 dont get to practice and instead have to help the equipment and laundry guys during practice and then after practice they have to come out and do bag skates for an hour. I think after a few weeks of this there would be a pretty drastic change as good players get rewarded and bad players get punished. Nobody would want to end up in the bottom 3 doing Sorry and sweaty laundry and sharpening skates. Everyone would want the day off...
