How the hell can a team go 26 minutes of game time without a shot on goal??? How is that even possible?

I think if you are Going to move a proven goal scorer who clicked with Eichel you Damn well better get something more than an over-the-hill Vanek as a replacement

Best bet would be to make a side deal with Vegas to take one of those contracts but that would mean they'd have to agree to leave another player off the protected list or give up a prospect/pick in return for them taking the contract

Surprises? He looked good playing with the Sabres and far better than Franson, Gorges, Falk and Fedun most nights. He can step right into a puck moving defenseman role with the Sabres next year. He might have a few growing pains but he looks like he can handle it... If not send him to Rochester for a little conditioning but I think he can step right in, IMO

Why can't we? Toronto did with a very similar player and he produced pretty well. The KHL is not the AHL, there are quite a few really good players there. Antipin played for team Russia in the World's, he definitely isn't some scrub.

Kassian scored the game winning goal in game 2 against the Sharks and just put the Oilers up 1-0 in a tight, scoreless game in the 3rd period... looks like he is turning into one of those guys that doesn't do much during the regular season but becomes clutch in the playoffs... Sabres definitely lost that one...
