It's only one game but if they play like that all season they are going to win more games than people think. That was impressive.

Closest thing would be a goalie who steals games even when they are badly out played/out shot but the other team just can't score. Kinda like when Hasek was here many times. They need time but they also have to be the right combination. Giving time to people who can't work together properly or who aren't good at their jobs doesn't do much.

Exactly what have the Sabres shown competence in over the last 10 years that would lead you to believe them over a former player? Because to me it's almost zero.

I doubt it...when a team is this badly run it extends to all areas of the organization. Players wouldn't go out of their way to trash medical staffs that way unless something was really off.

Based on their team injury histories I doubt it.

And garbage goaltending. Hope they plan on not allowing more than 20 shots a game, otherwise we have pretty much zero chance of winning games with our current lineup of over the hill goalies, journeymen and unknown youngsters.

I mean Vegas had a lot of success with that type of team their first year...I remember that about them...they were relentless...if you had the puck you had almost no time to actually do anything with it before they were coming at you.

I don't get why Pysyk doesn't get more playing time and hasn't really gone anywhere since he left here...he always seemingly plays a solid game, his analytics are good....is there something else missing? Does he falter when they try and add anything but the basics to his plate so they intentionally ask him to play an exceedingly simple game? It just doesn't really make sense to me.

What has Eichel led us to except the bottom of the league standings and multiple first overall draft picks. Shouldn't be happening with a player that good. He should be lifting the play of his teammates but instead he is allowing them to drag him down.

You have to get people in here that haven't been burdened by the past. Like the Bills did. They shipped out a TON of players that were around for the losing and kept only the few that still had great attitudes and wanted to work hard to turn it around and be a part of it like Kyle Williams. But most of them had to go...they were too accustomed to the losing and didn't think anything would change. I read a leadership book once and I remember the statement that he made was profound. He said "Before you can get the right people on the bus, you have to get the wrong people off the bus" In other words, anyone who isn't going to be down with the program Adams and Granato are trying to establish here have to go and it doesn't matter who they are. They gotta go. Because you cannot have key players sabotaging the coach internally and expect it to work. Eichel has gotten multiple coaches fired since his time here. Where has that gotten us? Gotta pull the plug and just say it isn't working. He is a supreme talent but that doesn't lead us to wins, so what use is it?

Adams needs to stick to his guns. If Eichel gets mad and sits out, then oh well...he wasn't going to be here anyways and most of the pieces they are offering wouldn't have made a difference in the lineup this year. Wait it out. He can waste a year of his career if he wants to play it that way.

Likely why Adams seems in no hurry....teams are trying to get Eichel for a bag of pucks and a few orders of chicken wings...not gonna happen. I like Georgiev but the other pieces are laughable if that is what they think is going to work. Agreed....which is why Adams basically came out and said what he said and that is he isn't making a trade just to move him. These teams are trying to get Eichel for pennies on the dollar.
