  1. The PP is a huge bright spot. Might be the best I have ever seen. Makes the PK look silly and runs them ragged all over the ice for the entire PP at times with sublime puck movement. First unit, second unit, no Eichel, no Skinner...doesn't matter they just are an unstoppable machine.
  2. What have they won playing the style of play that lets them open up and free wheel? Nothing. This team will have to learn to play defense first and then once they do RK will trust them to open it up more and not lose the defensive mindset. See the Islanders and Capitals for how to do it properly. Do you not find it strange that some of their best hockey has come with a bunch of regulars out of the lineup? To me it says the players getting a shot to play are listening and doing what RK wants and seeing the results while the more established players are not or maybe haven't been broken of their bad habits yet.
  3. First unit...second unit....no Eichel...no Skinner...doesn't matter. Control the puck...sick puck movement...make the D scramble around for most of the penalty and score about 40% of the time. Sometimes it looks like a shooting gallery with shots coming from all over the place... I don't know if this pace is sustainable but holy crap they are really good at it.
  4. This might be the best PP unit I have ever seen. There are times they never lose the puck in the zone for the entire PP and look like they have the puck on a string...even the 2nd PP unit is lethal.
  5. When players on a PK get the puck, have nobody around them and still can't get it out of the zone. How freaking hard is it to just lift the puck high into the air down the middle of the ice?
  6. If only we could play the Devils every game...we would be a shoe in for the playoffs.
  7. This team is pathetic at getting out of their zone and makes every easy exit an adventure
  8. I mean maybe we should play the Devils every night and we would look like AllStars
  9. Myocarditis is a serious thing that there is no real timetable for recovery or guarantee there will not be permanent damage. Several NFL and MLB players are dealing with the same thing including Tommy Sweeney who was forced to miss the entire season due to this.
  10. And people still want to think this isn't a big deal...it is possible Rasmus is not back til next year or possibly might be forced to retire due to heart damage from this. When is the last time you heard athletes possibly forced into retirement from the flu? The long term implications of this are very scary...they are finding this out even in people with light symptoms or those who were asymptomatic and oftentimes there is systemic damage far in excess of outward symptoms shown with other diseases.
  11. This is the one place the Sabres have been surprisingly good most of the year.
  12. Based on the Sabres ridiculously low shooting percentage over several years I will say the Sabres are consistently worse than other teams.
  13. I have never seen a team consistently over a period of years hit goalies directly in the chest or pads with shots from point blank range as much as I have with the Sabres. It's almost impossible to be that bad at scoring from those areas for this amount of time as they have.
  14. The crazy part was through 8 games they were among the best in the NHL at all of them
  15. I just don't get it. Game after game they struggle 5 on 5 to score goals. They have a lot of offensive firepower. This shouldn't be.
  16. I mean this is complete BS. We get screwed because the NHL didn't think people continually testing positive for days on a team constitutes an outbreak. If I were the Sabres and the players I would be looking into legal action.
  17. You must not read the scientific journals I guess. There are serious long term consequences and the more time goes by the more they find. If you choose to stay ignorant then that is your choice, but the statement you made is false by the myriad evidence showing issues even in a lot of people with no symptoms. Yep...assume its fine. Smart choice. Nothing to see here. SMFH. The COVD related death toll in 5 years is going to be staggering. Not sure how many "colds" have done that to people.
  18. Sabres have not finished contract tracing yet is the reason for the postponement.
  19. He got smacked in the mouth yesterday and was off for repairs for a while.
  20. Can we please stop the thread hijacking? That's definitely Boomer style. 😉
