When I was around 10-11 years old (~1976), I played in my school band. My band teacher was also a private pilot and would occaisionally take a student or two on an airplane ride out of Prior Aviation. One early Spring evening, I was the lucky kid who got to go with him. We got back after our flight, and I noticed some of the well dressed guys sitting around Prior looked kinda familiar. Turns out the Sabres were flying a charter out of Prior to Philadelphia that evening. In a little while, the whole terminal would be filled with players and personnel. I called my parents, and they gave me permission to stay a little later. So, I wound up getting all the players autographs, including the French Connection, as well as Marcel Pronovost, Ted Darling, and (I think) Jeanerette. I still have the autographs to this day. If I remember to dig them up, I'll snap a pic and post it. What a cool evening!

Yeah, right in front of us in 308. He blocked 2 shots in a very short period of time. When Montreal scored, I really felt bad because Meyers took a beating on that pk. I've been critical of him all season, but he did what he was supposed to do on that pk, sorry to hear he was injured but not surprised by it.

I don't think we're low on Miller, I think it's more a function of contract/cap numbers, age, and his willingness to sit through a multi-year rebuilding effort. Vanek isn't going to fetch nearly as much as some people (read Darcy) think due to his injury tendency. I wouldn't be surprised to see him stay because of that.

What drove the Leafs prices up were Toronto fans coming down for the game. Since the Leafs haven't been decent in years, you don't see as many of them coming in. I wonder if Leafs tickets in Toronto are as hard to come by as they used to be. If they aren't as scarce, that could also be a factor.

Weber was good, I remember him calling a game or two. Did he do color at one time too? Gurtler was awful.

Of the guys they've had fill in for RJ, Hamilton is by far the best. I'd like to see him take over when RJ calls it a career.

Ok I think I've figured it out. For some reason, on this computer if I access the forum through the drop down menu, it doesn't log me in. If I access the forum directly, then I am still logged in. IE and FF seem to be showing the same behavior, btw. Oddly enough, on my other machine, I can access the forum via the dropdown menu and still be shown as logged in.

I'm accessing through the Sabrespace.com. I deleted all the cookies from sabrespace (as well as sabresreport), closed the browser, opened it again and logged in. I closed it again, reopened and...no joy :( Still not logged in.

Firefox 2 doesn't seem to keep me logged in between sessions the way 1.x does. It only seems to happen on this board, vBulletin boards work fine and so do UltimateBBS. Is there something different about Invision I should know to keep myself logged in? (Yes, I've ticked the remember me box in the login)

Football in HD looks awesome. Hockey was cool, but it was a bit of a letdown after what I had heard others say. The new blue looks black. Too bad, I was hoping it would look better. Saw it on at least 3 different standard def sets and 1 HD set, all looked black.
