My comment meant keeping everyone young except Mitts and Tage. Keep Joki, Borgen, Asplund etc. I wouldn’t trade Dahlin. He was growing under the former coach who was letting him play his style of game. He’s been suppressed under the current coach. He’s young still. Remember Lindstrom didn’t win a Norris until he was 30 -12 years into the league.

Thank God your workers aren’t making $5 to $10 million a season. That would probably complicate things.

It WAS a BS press conference. People like me didn’t want to hear what you’ve been doing (evaluating), but wanted to hear a statement that you have a plan to try and fix it. I understand he was ultimately there to answer questions from the press, but he didn’t really answer any of their questions.

BTW Linus was elite before his injury.” Why haven't you found D help? ”I’m still evaluating.” Why aren't underperforming players like Eakin, KO, Miller etc benched? ”All systems work if the players play them.” Why have you done nothing to help this team in season so far? ”I’m still evaluating.” Why weren't any of these direct questions asked? ”It’s great that you asked. It’s not acceptable, we have to be better, we have to be grittier.”

Vegas was able to start from scratch. The Sabres are constantly trying to mix and match in perpetuity - players, GMs, coaches, stick boys, pretzel makers, the guy or girl in the Sabretooth suit....

They don’t know how. Multiple players in recent interviews have said that they have no answers. They are looking for direction from those above them.
