I got into it a few years ago. I feel like everyone owes it to themselves to watch the original Kirk/Spock/McCoy trio of Shatner/Nimoy/Kelley. The ship in a bottle episodes have such great atmosphere and tension building. The Doomsday Machine is my favorite episode. Also, newer movies could take a page out of Star Trek's book when it comes to techno-babble.

The Lucic article was really dumb, so I think the ghost writer must be really good at capturing the essence of players.

Handmaiden and Moonlight were both excellent. Both of these movies are indie darlings that got limited releases (had to drive to Ithaca to see them). I feel like I need to see Handmaiden again to really grasp it. Moonlight is a great movie about sexuality, male sensitivity, and the criminalization of the black man. Incarnate was hilariously bad. Inception + excorcism - editing. It feels like they rolled with a first draft that somebody wrote over a weekend. Aaron Eckhart (two face from Dark Knight) and Carice Van Houten (Melisandre from GoT) were both in it at least. Allied was eh. The first hour was great. Robert Zemeckis doesn't seem to really wanna try very hard anymore. The story of this movie is very unambitious, and undermines the strong characterization that we get early on.

Good game. I'll take a point. Larsson and Foligno were awesome tonight. They grinded through some tough minutes. Same goes for Franson, Risto, and McCabe. Really tough night for Jack, Kane was invisible, and Sam was high again. Zemgus was awesome! The play through the neutral zone by Risto and Grant was really nice, but Zemgus's finish was sooo sick. It really hurt to watch Zemgus wasted on the 4th line while Carrier and Kane made absolutely no impact on the game. I don't even blame Kane that much. He's been bad this year but he's being so horrendously deployed by Hot Daniel. Kane plays like he's been told to let Jack and Sam do their thing. Kane wants to be the player carrying the puck and ripping shots. Playing third fiddle doesn't fit his personality, or his game. Let Zemgus play with Eichel or O'Reilly, and let Kane play with Foligno and Larsson to form the best 3rd line in the league. The tools are there for Hot Daniel to improve our 5 on 5 hockey big time, but he just doesn't seem to see it. O'Reilly and Okposo were excellent as usual.

It sounds like Boston is wayyyy in your guys' heads. I'm just as down on Bylsma as the next guy, but losing to Boston after a very unlikely win against the Rangers is not the franchise-defining disaster you're making it out to be. The Eichel high couldn't last forever.
