    I share the pain. Right after I heard about the Vanek trade I yelled "and Drew Stafford is still on the team!" into a room of mostly non-hockey fans.

    I think Ehrhoff would fetch something like a Blue chip prospect, 1st, 3rd liner - or - Good (21-23 year old) roster player, 1st, 2nd Value wise that seems right, but I'm not sure the packages make total sense for a deadline deal.

    I didn't even think about Vanek playing well lessening the value of the draft pick. I'll still root for him, but damn. The bolded is misleading because Vanek is himself a pending UFA that could very well become a rental (EDIT:That may have been your point. Fans will go nuts that the team is in this state). Looking at their stats last three years they are comparable, with the obvious edge going to Vanek who played with much worse centers and is more talented by far. I agree that the return is just okay because the draft picks are nice, and the picks we'll get from Moulson will be nice, but I don't trust Darcy to trade these picks for the right, good young players. I have the sinking feeling that he's more likely to hold onto them until the draft. I know :cry: :angry: Might as well keep the C on it. I didn't realize that Moulson played at Cornell. He's been playing hockey in New York for a while. At least he get's to come back to the beautiful part of New York.

    Thank you Vanek. Psyched for his 45 goals with tavares. Seems like a good return. I like Moulson, but I thought he was like 25. Oh well we'll have to see what we get for him.

    That was the worst game to watch all year. Every big play by the Bills was negated by a penalty. The Saints got the BOD every chance they could've. That, coupled with the fact that we didn't play well enough to win, made for a really infuriating experience.

    That really sucks. Darcy's lack of balls continues to bite us in the ass.

    Terry is pleased with how this is going because Darcy told him that the Sabres were only going to be collecting 3 points every 12 games or so. Their plan to keep Rolston on to tank for Reinhart is right on track. A little GoDDin' for ya.

    He didn't get outworked, he just fell because he doesn't know how to play defense :P

    That was a pretty brutal play in front of the net. If he hadn't hit Miller's stick then he would knocked the puck away from the shooter and Miller wouldn't have been knocked off balance. Pretty unlucky. Luckily I was able to file it away in my brain as blame Stafford.

    I saw Jesse not killing Walt as not wanting to do anything he says anymore. He also probably would have done it if he didn't see that Walt already got shot. And I agree with Derrico a little bit in that the ricin to Lydia was pretty telegraphed and didn't really surprise me in any way. I was actually in disbelief when they showed the swirling coffee shot because I thought for sure that the stevia was a red herring.
